I have several of these, pairing with the Quinetic switches is a breeze. However, I wish I could say the same for WiFi. This is very poorly explained in the user manual and the app doesn't seem to provide much guidance and is very hit and miss. Any chance of you doing a video to walk us through the WiFi setup?

Couldn’t agree more. I managed to connect one controller by luck. The second one I’ve been trying for some time and can’t get it to pair via the app. Wouldn’t buy these controllers again

Very good, I have it in my bathroom, question: can the receiver accept other 433 switch brands on market, or vice versa? Thanks

Do you need WiFi for this quinetic switch? Is there any time delay switch from quinetic as I wanna use it for communal areas ?
@tlcdirect3 жыл бұрын
There is no need for Wi-Fi, although we do have a Wi-Fi controlled receiver. The switch is paired with the receiver through a radio frequency. There is no time delay switch in the Quinetic range but you would be able to do something similar using the Wi-Fi receiver and the app. Best would be to discuss your requirements with our sales team. Give them a call on 01293 565 630 or sales@tlc-direct.co.uk

If the power to the light goes off( after i.e a power cut ) do we have to re-pair the switch to the receiver? I want to install one of these in the loft...

No, the switch and receiver will maintain it's pairing after a power cut.

So the light has to be plugged into a mains socket? Or what?
@tdhpst Жыл бұрын
I think they just used that as a demonstration. If you disconnect the first down light (if you've got down lights) from the incoming mains cable, terminate that mains cable's live core into 'Live in' and neutral core into 'neutral in', then, the cable that was connected to the mains cable, connect the live core to 'live out' and it's neutral core to 'neutral out) and it should work I think...
