As a 50yr American I grew up watching the Benny Hill show in the 80's on PBS. It was funny as hell as long as I could understand what they were saying. It was the first time I ever seen sexy women like that. I loved that show. The young ones 1980's, was funny too. Monty Python has it's moments to.

Huge stretch to say the British have the best sense of humor in the west. Almost all the best comedies ever are American

Not counting the dozens of US remakes of UK comedies, there have been some very funny American shows. Humour is subjective, but if you were to take an international poll of what country people associate with comedy, Great Britain would overwhelmingly come out on top.

In Canada we grew up on British comedies. Pythons, Fawlty, Dave Allen, Doctor In the House, On The Buses, Not The Nine O'Clock News, Mr Bean, Yes Minister, As Time Goes By, Blackadder, Dad's Army, Keeping Up Appearances .. way more influential on the Canadian sense of humour than American shows. Then our comics invaded the US market.

I was lucky to be close enough to the boarder two watch TVO and PBS and agree we got some great shows from across the pond. I watched Black Adder, Mr. Bean, Father Ted, Faulty Towers, Monty Python, etc..... I'm pretty sure SCTV and Kids in the Hall are very influenced by Monty Python.

I was playing a car ride game with friends….. ( First Name, Last Name of Famous Person….Next in turn has to use the Letter @ beginning of First Name for Their Named Famous Person…..; Every-time i had to use “H” for the First Name of famous Person, i said “Prince Harry …and whatever his last name is” Does any of the Royal Family have a Last Name?

Do any Royal Family Member have Last Names? Or Maybe their First Names are “prince, king, queen, princess, squire, jester”…?….and the last name IS their first name? Im so confused about if they have last names? Sir Elton has a last Name…..What the hell is Henry’s last name? I really want to take “prince” as a first name out of my convo about him.
