I don't play casual matches because they feel way too lopsided and unfun... either I'm paired with someone so bad and inexperienced at the game that I'm bored or I'm fighting someone so far above me in skill that I'm both frustrated and bored (because I don't get to play the game at that point). At least with ranked there is a higher chance I can match with someone at my skill level and I can actually enjoy the game.

If I get ranked anxiety, I go play in the Battle Hub a bunch and get my shit pushed in. Then I go back into ranked and all of a sudden it doesn't seem so bad. Although I guess maybe because muh imaginary points are on the line, that feeling never fully goes away

i don’t really understand ranked anxiety past a certain level. once you have some baseline level of competence and understanding, you just need to get the reps in. i only played casual matches for the first two months the game was out, then i just decided to bite the bullet and play ranked. i didn’t really agonize over it or anything. if you make an effort to play a few games a day, the anxiety will slowly fade. honestly, once you have a really bad session where you lose a bunch of lp there’s really nothing left to be afraid of, so aim for that. worst case scenario you have to grind back up to a rank you were already at. i haven’t opened street fighter 6 in over a month because i honestly just got bored of the game, but the same thing applies for any game with a ranked system. once you accept the pain of losing, fear will be replaced by more productive emotions. at the end of the day, it’s just a game and the only cure to anxiety is playing it.

My fighting game career is super young about 1 year into taking it serious. Progression seems like it’s not linear, sometimes up sometimes down and sometimes sideways.

I'm in a similar spot with SF starting late last year I played Tekken loads before that though. I've had a few really bad sessions where I wouldn't play for a while after and I always come back a bit stronger it's just hard to see the progression in real time.
