I'm sure many of them are. However, I wouldn't be surprised if many people don't realize that the meat they eat on a daily basis has to be slaughtered in some way!

salam peace be to you all the meat will be shared three ways one third for the family one for the close relatives and one for the poor and needy its a time to share only a family who can afford it will do this so it will be a great time to bring the community together also it will be a meat meal for some families who cant afford meat not everyone is wealthy to eat meat like the west some families go without meat for months and this region is not that well off. Islamically its also to help the community and feed the needy islam is a big brotherhood we share everything with each other with ease hospitality is an important part of the faith. waste and gultony is frowned upon so no part of the animal will be wasted.

Well, I always say that it's actually a very humane way to slaughter an animal. It happens at some point to all the meat we eat...we just normally don't watch it.

Every time I eat bread, vegetables, fruit, read a book, sit at the wooden dining table, live in my house in a city, travel on a road and go to shop or a clinic, I wish to move my family to live in the jungle and live on wild fruits because all these have been attained by murdering wild animals by invading their natural habitats and destroying their homes. Even Buddhist monks who can't bear to kill an ant don't realise their sutras, temples and dorms are obtained by mass murders of wild animals. You Westerners should stop being double-standard, finger-pointing hypocrites.
