Thank you so much for this, happy memories indeed. I recognise most of it, the long road we used to 'form up' on each morning, where my training block was and also my accommodation block. Great quality video. I joined the RAF in January 1992 and left in August 2014 so it has been a real trip down memory lane! Thanks again top quality!

Oh My God what happened to RAF Locking NO1 Radio School. I was here in the year Jan 1978 till March 1979, Nicholson Block. Squadron Leader Gordon was my Maths Instructor. Sargeant Ward was with the Discipline in the HQ. This place is with so much wonderful memories I will treasure all my life. During the weekends we the Malaysian Overseas students would visit our instructors house we cook Indian Meals and have great times with beer. Saturday nights in Roundel club we would have great time. It is so sad to see this place in ruins nothing left. I returned to Engling with my family in 2015 to revisit all those places in London and I was suppose to make a visit to RAF Locking but couldn't make it. When I watched this video I just couldn't believe it is in a sorry state. Could someone please tell me what happened to RAF Locking. Thanks for the video.

Was there 1976 to the end of 1978 as radar and comms mech.Shame what they’ve done with it.!I believe they erected a small memorial in 2018 on the “Parklands”.Thanks for the memories.

Difficult to recognise anything of the old place. A sad end. I was there in 1979 and again in 1982. Almost every station I served on has gone the same way.

I find it hard to remember RAF Locking from this video. I was there in Direct Entry 5 1972. Had some happy memories of Somerset. Now live in the US

I trained there in 1989/90, met my wife there and returned many times for further training. Great base and location we all loved the place

Thanks for the video Jack. I am an Apprentice from the 100th entry 1962 Jan to 1964 Dec. That first bit of vid going down the road next to the tech blocks reminded me of the mornings and evenings marching to tech, all weathers, the roads were full of apprentices....happy days Geoff Walton

Last year Google Maps showed me RAF Locking was no more and your video really brought it home. I did my mech course MC83 and Fitters TFC5 plus add on courses in 5T. Time passes too quick as we get older. To cap it all I just looked at the remains of RAF Swinderby on FaceBook & KZfaq. Standbridge is no more, but good old RAF Akrotiri is still there!! Many thanks Jack.. PS I bet the old scrumpy farm is still selling cider up near Banwel? :-)
