Az Akh I totally agree. Illmatic and Cuban Linx are better than any Kool G Rap album, but that of course doesn’t change the fact that G Rap has made his mark we probably wouldn’t have rappers like Nas or Raekwon (or at least the way that we know them) without him.

I'd say he legendary! ... but I like some of the "blackballed" and lesser known OGs. Like the Major figgas i think every member has done incredible work with many of the greats but u gotta really know ur stuff to be into them... if you like Lil Wayne you saw him wear a major figgas chain in "bring it back" that's actually a chain that belongs to the dude gillie the kid.. hes one of the major figgas. They were a group that was tight with beanie sigil supposed to be like state property (remember Jay-Z, beanie, state prop? The rocafella takeover?? No?? Come on!) But yeah anyway each member went to work with great artists (and the group had songs with some of the greats too) Styles p, Ludacris, 50 cent, lil wayne, birdman, jumane Dupree, lil kim, Cameron, Charlie Baltimore, pusha T etc etc I know most ppl remember gillie from dissing wayne.. you gotta understand they were you know tight at one point. Figgas were like the east coast part of Cash Money that were fighting back against the ROC (you do know birdman and Jay-Z have been trying to kill eachother since day 1 right?) at one point. They the one that had #1 songs and huge record deals and big promotion.. then it all fell apart but them dudes.. I'm telling ya.. for 98-99 2000-01 they were the shitt!!! Killing freestyles everywhere buzzing underground crazy to the point they had a crazy bidding wars for labels tryna sign each member (some members had 3 or 4 deals.. they were really on fire at one point.. then jay z and state prop kinda ended that)
