Have been here around 2007, since this onsen is pretty remote, if you are not a big fan of onzen, you can skip it, same as 五能線, the schedule are few, really take time, not worth it, you can easily found some similar train routes along the shoreline in Japan.

Thank you for sharing your experience and perspective on this onsen and the 五能線 (Gono Line). It's valuable to hear different opinions, especially from someone who has been around since 2007. Indeed, the hot spring is relatively remote, so there are fewer visitors. It is understandable that such a location would attract fewer people, allowing for a more tranquil and relaxing experience. For those who appreciate getting away from the hustle and bustle, such a hot spring destination may be particularly appealing. After COVID-19, the schedules for both the Gono Line and JR BUS have been well arranged. We highly recommend it for individuals who appreciate Japan's serene ambiance and breathtaking scenery, especially those with ample time and schedule flexibility:)
