I am German, i have witness "racism" on some work place towards my West-African colleagues i spoke to the underboss to shut up and treat them like anyone else. He always screamed at them, yet to us he was calm. However this is not a one way route. Next example, i sit in the Train watching the Station Display so i don´t miss the exit. African diude next to the display starts to believe i am starring at him and starts a fuzz with me. Other Day other African dude harasses old lady in the train because she closed the window (old people above 70+ freeze even in summer, aks your grannuies). He starts yeling about Africa. I ask if he treats old persons in Africa the same? He shuts up, but first calling her racist, just for closing a window.*Facepalm Many People like this Lady in your video don´t know what racism is. Saying country X is full of diseases is not racism its at best chauvinism or ignorance. Feelings or Body language is not racism. particular in a different culture people tend to interpret any different experience as bad faith. I think both sides can learn from each other. Peace

Excellent comment! We must be careful with attaching intensions to other people, and I claim that we are not racists. But extremely culture-etnocentristic Like, if you sit down next a Dane in a bus - and you could have avoided it - the Dane is likely to move to an other seat. It's got nothing to do with your skin colour, but they are trying (indirectly) to teach you "That's not how we do it in Denmark". NOBODY sits next to each other - if it's avoidable. At the busstop: First person arrives, second person will stand 10-15 away from first, third person EXACTLY between 1st and 2nd. Hereafter the rules get more complicated 🙄 Blond, blue eyed Danes living around this bus stop will behave like that. Trust me, if a blond, blue eyed Dane comes up and stands next to any of them, they will shy away, and give her "the look". But if you're foreign, you can't know that it's got nothing to do with YOU. It's all about US being weird 🤣 I moved to a small village and took the bus every morning. It took a WEEK before I got the other person waiting to growl "Morn" back, when I said Good Morning! We are of cource both as Danish as they come 🙄 - but I'd lived abroad and gotten weird 🤣🤣

I am as white as we come, it very much depends on where we are, on the bus, leave us alone :D, if I am in the mood for it, I will small talk with anyone, but I get the same responses from time to time, if you start to talk with a stranger. They will look at you, are you talking to me? why would you do that? :) but if you are positive, maybe joke, small talk can be initiated. For me personally if you are nice, I will return the gesture, I could not care less of where you come from or your skin color, how you behave and act is how I will behave and react to you.

What a great video. It was great to see this topic, from another point of view. As a Dane, I have seen racism, but mostly it is towards people, who behave badly, and after awhile, that group, if they keep behaving badly, will get a reaction that will target the group, instead of the individual. I think it is mostly towards people from the middeleast. It is not because of the religion or colour, but because there are a lot of incidents of people from middeleast, breaking the law. So in the end a lot of people will generalize. Some of the old old generation will be racist though, because the simply dosen't know any better. They still believe that all africans, live in huts, and have never seen a car or a telephone before. They are uneducated. And the same people will have a problem, with Danish people from across the country. Danish people also get picked on for beeing Danish, by others. Sadly I think that it is hard to get rid of prejudices intirely. It was great to see the interviews, and hear what there experiences have been.

@@jakobm.tilsted5333 Ghana has a long history with Denmark which most Danes are oblivious of I’ve found out hence I’d first recommend to visit Fort Christiansborg (named after Denmark’s King Christian V) also known as the Osu Castle. The central region Cape Coast is quite rich in historical sites and resorts. Aqua safari is the best resort i can recommend for relaxation and nature. Wli waterfalls, Busua beach for good waves to surf and good swimming. Time of the year to go will probably be between October to March. You may end staying longer and forgetting Denmark if you go partying in December 😄. I personally haven’t had an experience with a travel company obviously, but I’ll find out and revert

I'm an ethnic dane, and i've experienced racism plenty times, mostly between the age of 10-20 i'd say, from non-ethnic people. racism goes all ways, doesn't matter what your skincolour is. If you attempt to degrade, or believe that someone is worth less, or a subhuman, because of a different skincolour etc. it''ll be racism :), i've heard "Dansker" used as a slur in the area i live in since i was very young. being called Potato (cause apparantly danes are similar to potatoes), and "blegfis" (whitey) cause apparantly there is also something wrong with having light skin. so my point is, nomatter where you are, there is always someone who feels better, by degrading others, and if they're in a group where they have similar traits, like skincolour, it is easy to single out people who isn't similar on that area. very very very few people in the world, actually believe in superior races, and race theory related to that at all. Also - the guy in the red shirt, who is a truck driver from haiti says there is racism in denmark, because there is no "black clubs" ? . why would he want to segregate people according to their skincolour? if you move to a 90% ethnic white country, that does Not segregate people into colours, why would you want to change that, and make "Black nightclubs" ? dont he see how ignorant he is, and that he is actually the racist? - not to point out, the comment about the woman that gave denmark 7-10 on how racist it is, because someone who isn't danish, behaived inappropiate. sorry to tell you champ, but if this is what you want to show the world, about racism in Denmark, you probably got the wrong people for the job, now people will just think that only ignorant people live here. - Guy with army clothes there is racism in denmark, it is 5/10, beacuse when i sat in a bus once, people didnt sit next to me, it has to be racism, and it cannot be anything else. - Woman with white braids "one time i went to a club, with my friends, and when people got searched, we got searched more" according to her, didn't seem that anyone said anything that would indicate it had anything to do with her skincolour, and her perception of time could be off, OR maybe there was another reason. To her, it must have been racism.. I dont wish racism upon anyone, but at this point, its just becoming a joke. what the hell are these people crying about? why are they victimizing themselves?

It is ILLEGAL to registrer people's race, their political, sexual and religious orientation. "The system" can only know your name, date and place of birth, your occupation and adress. Bonus info: I think we learned during WWII, when the Nazis got the names of all our communists from the trade unions 😱 At least they had to do their own "research" to find our Jews! Peace and love

i'm a dane and i think Steven from the 17:30 mark pretty much summed it up, without overly explaining it. It's a really simple mindset that we have, and he seems to understand it perfectly. There will always be prejudice and stereotypes/stereotyping if you "come at us sideways" in a sense, and we don't mean that in some sort of indirect-low key way of insulting anyone, it's just a sideeffect of what we have been seeing becoming an increasingly larger "trend" of people from mostly the middle east, but also from african countries, coming in, with some sort of weird vengance-mission, and it that's how people chose to come at us, we will definatly use your skin color against you, just like you are using ours, against us. That being said, we're not racist at all. But if we deem a person from another country to fit a certain bill, most danes will raise and eyebrow, and look at you sideways, and probably will end up being pretty nasty verbally, if you push the envelope. But i feel like that applies world wide, so it's probably not a danish thing. One more thing that sadly fuels prejudice, is what the western world is seeing a lot of nowadays, which is blatan anti-white-ism, and we have a lot of Haters coming in, to pretty much be a problem, so sadly, for the good people coming in, you will probably get mislabeled as a bad person even if you do not deserve that. It's not a white or non-white thing, but as Steven pretty much said, we probably have a pretty "aggresive" style of defence in that sense. if we feel like somebody is here, and is blatantly against us on some hater-type behavior, we're not going to shake your hand, to put it mildly. and Sorry for boring wall of text

I think there is a vary blurry line between "real" racism and in a "in the moment" negative encounter. We as humans are vary visual, so its much easier to call a black person a black slur than to argue a personal opinion or stance on a subject in the heat of the moment. There has also been some unfortunate incidents or policies in the past becouse of ignorance, not stemming from racism such as accidentaly creating ghetos inwhere refugees has all been placed in the same area, making it extremely difficult to intigrate into the Danish socioty. Thies unfortunate past incidents where highlighted by the press, becouse they make for interesting stories scewing public perceptions. And its a few small single incidents involving a tiny number of people.

And yes, to hell with what racists think based on poor immigration their governments flood into their countries.. as you see its up to you to work hard, respect others like the ones in the videos. Patriotism isn't an excuse to discriminate or defend your countries because we can also be patriotic and force shutdown our mines and this whole machine shuts down.. when governments in EU strategically bring a specific type of migrant to divide and rule whilst they sell arms, make trillions offcourse the ones at the bottom will hate even more than they had/have been programmed.. its a complicated issue
