This is one of the most memorable episodes of the Stern show for me. I was a senior in high school listening to it live when it first aired. When people found out Mitch Hedberg died, we were hoping it was a cruel early April Fools joke. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Yes they will. And when you are3 a teen or in your early 20`s you don`t want to heed any advice, because you feel invincible. But that is the time you have a chance to put it all behind you. You think that there is no way you can never go to a bar again, or another party. At that age it is too much to bear for you. So you keep on drinkin` and druggin` until you crash face first. They tell you "just for today" and you cannot do, or think that. But you WILL hit the very bottom soon. Hopefully you get that chance.

It’s life tho. I mean Mitch thought he could maintain on opioids. He was wrong. But many can get out of that, everyone is different. Brutal lifestyle. Apparently you can either live with no nose or die in a dirty ole motel…

I barely escaped heroin addiction alive. Poor Mitch didn't and it was a huge loss. We used to mix opiates with diazepam and it killed so many. Now, with fentanyl mixed in with everything, it's a thousand x worse. Stick to weed , booze, maybe an occasional Vicodin a doctor gives you. If that

PS- It takes no talent to upload, but it takes a lot of time. Donations are for hours to take out of my busy day to upload, not for "talent" lol... I'm not getting donations though so I can't keep uploading regularly. Gotta work (Uber) instead. I would prefer to spend my time uploading Stern episodes instead of driving people around, but you guys can't even donate $1. If every viewer donated a buck, I'd be set. I do appreciate the five people who have donated (totalling $128). It's been like a couple months since I received the last one though.

Artie really got lucky in that he came into show biz at the boom for sketch comedy guys- like every damn shitty SNL bit was made into a movie atp because of Sandler Spade and Farley having big comedy hits; but yeah Artie wasnt particularly all that good on MadTV but because he had the right look and did a sketch comedy show he easily landed rather large parts in crap
