सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने राजद्रोह कानून के तहत 124ए धारा के तहत नई एफआईआर दर्ज करने पर रोक लगा दी है. कानूनी विशेषज्ञों ने इसे ऐतिहासिक कदम बताया है. कानूनी विशेषज्ञ फैजान मुस्तफा ने कहा कि "राजद्रोह कानून के दुरुपयोग " को लेकर सुप्रीम कोर्ट बहुत गंभीर था और इसलिए उसने लीक से हटकर यह आदेश पारित किया है.

मेरे विचार से ऐसे जितने भी कानून , चाहे वह सेडिशन , पोटा, UAPA ,Afsapa, या PSA हो, जिसमें केंद्र और राज्य सरकारों को असीमित अधिकार मिल जाते हैं , जिसकी भारी दुरुपयोग की संभावना रहती है, निरस्त हो जाने चाहिए। इनके दुरुपयोग से नागरिक अधिकारों का उल्लंघन होता है , आतंकवादियों के खिलाफ कम और सरकार के किसी गलत कार्य के खिलाफ आवाज उठाने वालों या असहमति जताने वालों के खिलाफ ज्यादा होता है। इसलिए ही बाद में 95 प्रतिशत लोग छूट जाते हैं। लेकिन सालों तक चलने वाली इस प्रक्रिया में ही नागरिक सजा भुगत चुके होते हैं , भले ही बाद में उनके पक्ष में फैसला आए। किसी लोकतांत्रिक देश में ऐसे कानूनों की कोई जरूरत नहीं हैं। जो असली आतंकवादी हैं , उनके खिलाफ सबूत पेश करके आम कानून के तहत ही सजा दिलाई जा सकती है।

I must congratulate the Supreme Court for taking this historical stand against the sedition misuse by the Government. I am so very happy for those who has been jailed but unfortunately fr Stein Swamy is no more to celebrate this historical stand. Now I have some faith in the Supreme Court of India. Thanks to the Supreme Court of India and also NDTV for bringing the real NEWS instead of nonsense debates.

Yes this balancing may be termed as "double-speak.". यह भी ठीक वो भी ठीक. देहाती मुहावरे के मुताबिक "गाय भी गाभिन बैल भी गाभिन". Faizan sir is expert in this unique type of "balancing". This is also the requisite of the position this sir is enjoying.
