It's sad that Teac has abandoned the uncompromising Hi-Fi sector! Take a look inside a VRDS from the 2000s. The VRDS 25 had a massive aluminium mechanism, the case was divided into 3 distinct parts, the cast aluminium press plate covered the CD, which could not vibrate. Today, I can't imagine a machine built like these magnificent Teac VRDS CD players. Today, they're nothing more and nothing less than PC players in disguise, with a nice gold label on top ! 🙄🙄🙄

@@fabrisony7729 Well, I own the DP-450, and I used to have Marantz CD players, and I reckon the Accuphase shades it.

@@nkenchington6575 But the Sa-10 is also a very highend model with a proprietary dsd converting dac very high regarded. Actually I have the sacd 30n with a similar technology and is a leap above any other player I have owned including many by Marantz. I still be interested in Accuphase players because I own an Accuphase amp and is absolutely on another level compared to anything, but I'm still undecided about which higher grade player to buy. Accuphase uses stock dac chips (sabre) but obviously those are only a part of the whole.
