Kanji = the Chinese writing system, it belongs to China, of course they know it

@@bzb_ While it is true that the roots are in China, Japan has developed its own unique kanji characters over the course of a long history, which are not found in simplified Chinese characters. In fact, there are many kanji characters that have completely different meanings even if they have the same shape. It cannot be simply assumed that a Chinese person can read them just because they are Chinese. 漢字は中国がルーツですが、中国人が漢字を読めるとは一概に言えません。
3:25 Yangyang my multilingual genius serving us Korean, Mandarin and English even before the ramen arrives at the table LOL. I love that WayV are able to communicate in a mix of languages that only they can understand. This is something unique to them it's amazing

Glad to see some content with Kun out and about sightseeing even though he is somewhat injured. It's good to enjoy yourself
Also ten and hendery have worked really hard at Japanese, I'm so proud of them! And then yangyang reading the summary and switching the languages as he went was really impressive. I speak two languages and even then I struggle 😅
Welcome to Japan! 日本に来てくれてありがとう。 またたくさん来てコンサートやってテレビにも出てコンテンツももっと見たいです。 日本での活躍楽しみにしてます!

I love how they tried learning more than just the script to genuinely understand the language and get that oddly wonderful feeling when you can comfortably communicate with native speakers.
