There's something about tthe aesthetic of these cutscenes... there's something special there that racing games from around this era seemed to encapsulate best. Gran Turismo 4 was another great example of this white-drenched, clean, almost melancholy vibe. I feel like someone out there can get what I mean.

Yes indeed. The name of the protagonist is Rena Hayami. and has the same resemblance as asuka . surely if hayami didn't exist there wouldn't be asuka kazama either. But the r racing game was released in 2003 While asuka was released in 2004 when they first released tekken 5.

2024 One of the most underrated PS2 racing games❤ and the soundtrack is fire, the intro song give me 2000's vibes music, love it!!! A week ago I played it on my hacked PS2 because the game is impossible to get in physical format and it must be expensive

Absolutely loved this game when I was younger, the Ace Combat style Radio Transmissions. It's a shame Namco never expanded on this idea. also i'm pretty sure the guy Rena Speaks to in one of the cutscenes is portrayed by Eddie Frierson, aka Chopper himself.

love Japanese racing games but they dont make cheese like this anymore lol. the best part of it is? the car, racer model (female models) scene never died over there. We just went to a show a few years ago when I was visiting family in SK.
