Title: I tried to let the piped robot walk a tightrope. The biped robot(PRIMER-V4) across the wire rope of about 1 m while maintaining the balance in a standing position. ai2001.ifdef.jp/ by Dr.Guero
This is one of the coolest things I watched in KZfaq.

I can't understand a word on you channel, but you and I love robots. That's all we need. You're giving that gyro a workout!

I think it's easy to speed up and move. In particular, there is no problem with the computer and servos. I simply just set up as such.

what type of servo motor and what type the microcontroller

wow i think there's a huge mathematical behind this movement

That was amazing. I would not have believed it was possible.

look at all the mathematical algorithms he used to implement the movements of his robot(s), this doctor is a very intelligent person..

yep when i see for first time, its not only PID control i guess. its more complex

That is really great (even if it is 8 years old now)! Have you advanced the robot's technology to put one foot in front of the other on the tight rope yet? Again, nice work!

I like how you got that whiteboard in the back with full of complicated equations.
I can't believe this is technology. It looks like magic. by the way, I wish more forcus on motor sound than BGM.

how can u make it? very impressive Dr. I start watching robot making video this month, i plan to learn to make a simple robot next year, hope i can learn it by myself. Btw, i also hope i can meet you one day :) i am from hong kong.

Awesome balancing robot.

Does your robot use neural networks like Reinforcement Learning and some optimization for balancing?

Does it take a step only if it's stability is within a certain range? Or will it step whenever it's programmed to do so?

My only question is this: What is the limiting factor in how quickly it can cross the tightrope? Surely if it's all processed by computer and servos, the succession of bottlenecking should start with the processor and work down to how quickly it can actually move its limbs. Is the speed in the video the current "road block" in this project, or is speed not really something sought after?
