R32 UPGRADED MFA Cluster Display - Review and Install (Faded Screen FIXED)

Today we will be installing and reviewing the feature found in the upgraded MAF cluster by Clusters by Litke. I have owned this cluster for a year now so I have been through many of the features, settings and functionalities of the upgraded screen. This upgrade is great for any MK4 enthusiast that have a car optioned with MFA from factory (R32, 20th anniversary, GLI). Over time the OEM half screen MAF starts to fade this upgrade allows you to replaces that faded screen with a full color display that integrates a bunch of new features into the car.
Personally for me this upgrade is amazing and is well worth it. It brings the old outdated MK4 display into the modern era and give the diver more functionalities that I find very useful.

I panicked when my cluster center started to fade. I am so happy to see that this cluster is sharp looking, it has the classic Mk4 R32 feel with modern upgrades. I will be purchasing one for myself

Very nice...I´ve just installed a similar one as this one...but it´s from a different seller...very nice...awesome...tks for the video...As a matter of fact, it´s possible to show your car picture, with license plate also...very cool...with door opening and other stuff...

I’m waiting on a few parts from Germany. Also just got engaged so i need to save some more money for my upcoming wedding. Wish I could keep building it faster. It will come maybe next year.

I actually didn’t mention it because price can fluctuate a lot based on what upgrades you do. So I didn’t want to miss lead people if you want the most up to date pricing you should reach out to the company and they will give you the pricing for what you want.

@@ThreePedalGarage I thought that might be the reason, and I understand. Have you ever had a hissing or buzzing sound when you decelerate? On my R32, every time I come off the throttle I hear like this whistle coming from behind the driver's side rear. Since you know so many people who have these cars you would be the best person to ask for advice on figuring the cause and fix for this. If you made a video about this problem you'd get tons of views, anyway. thanks for all you do, love R32 content, , keep it coming if you have the time!

@@oldkid6 where are you located I may be able to point you to someone who could help you out with the issue. Personally I haven’t dealt with that before so I’m unsure of the issue. And I’ll be making more contact, just need to get a house first so I can rip the R32 apart lol

No i dont own one only few came to SA back then but i think was golf 5 R32....is it possible to import a wired R32 engen to SA nd how long can it take and how much do you think can be??

@@mfisalonthengmfisalontheng5252 not sure what the import rules are in your country but it will be pretty expensive to get one. I’d look at a UK R32 and I’m port on from there they are the cheapest R32 in the world right now but still pretty expensive

This specific one is not. A few companies do the same upgrade for the mk5

i have an mk4 golf vw too but i dont know if i can do this upgrade since i dont have the red cluster to start out with its the one that doesnt show the consumption and other stuff

You can do it but there is a few thing you need to add to make it work

I have one of these screens in my mk4 R32. I was driving along today and it made a beep like the fuel level was low and then the screen went blank. It now won't come back on. I have turned the engine off, keys out, locked etc and the MFA won't come back on. Just blank. Any ideas what could be causing it and how to fix it please?

I had that once, you need to pull the Fuse for the cluster to reset it. I think it’s Fuse 15. Pull it and let it sit for 1 min. Put it back in and it should work.

Hi. I tried this and it worked the first time. Worked for a month or so. 2nd time the screen went and it won't come back at all now. Tried a new fuse but still now joy. Any other ideas please? Cheers

Wrong you did 0 to 62 not 0to 60 at 0to 60 the r 32 should ,6.5 secon mine with tectonics cams, magnaflow cut back do exactly 6 second, not bad with 154.000 miles on it with the original motor, ( unbelievable!!!wolkswagen! What can I say!!!!)is not the fastest car out
