The Dream Journey - Discovering musicians across Pakistan (A Non Profit Project)
This project will be the sharing of a special experience in which we hope you will want to participate.
Some of the musicians are established and famous, others are among the brilliant budding talent that adorns Pakistan’s musical scene. Each of the mehfils has a distinct atmosphere and mood, but there is a common thread. We asked each of the musicians to stay close to their respective inherited musical traditions, allowing the singers an opportunity to present some pieces that are rarely heard today.
We are inspired to present the brilliance of this contemporary Pakistani vocal music to a wider audience and seek your financial assistance in making this possible.

I wonder when these artist perform in a individual setting rather then performing in a concert how different is their performance

@@kanwaljitsingh8391 in this particular case where there is khyal and bandish the recital is quite similar except the mood of a smaller gathering allows the singer to focus more easily as well add an element of spirituality that is rare in a concert.

A complete classical singer expressing the nuances and intricacies with great ease from Kharaj to Teep and all the vocal ornamentations. He is a joy to listen to! Thanks to The Dream Journey for sharing such beautiful music many of which are not in the public domain. Love the aerial view of Lahore too!

Dear Dream Journey team, thank you so much for the effort to bring forth the treasures the subcontinent lost. Ye hi hamara adub aur tehzeeb hai. We did pick up guitars and bought drums, but we weren't exposed to the great wisdom and supercolossal levels of music our ancestors reached. If you could get the artists at Patreon, I'm sure people listening around the world will support the artists. I definitely will.

Listened to this in Javed Bashir's shb voice but Akbar Ali has a knack of beautifying even the most perfect of bandishes. May God bless this maestro with everything he ever desires, for he has filled a void that existed for decades in the classical music scene. My God, how he crafts a perfect balance in Vilambit and yet moves like thunder in the Drut is so out of this world. Plus, have thoroughly enjoyed the work done by Kashif Ali Dhani shb especially with Ustad Shafqat and now this. Zoheb's sarangi is majestic as always. Once again, The Dream Journey you know how to soothe your audience in the toughest of times. It's time to confer Pride of Performance upon him.

I followed Akbar Ali after his Lux Jonoon performance where he displayed his potential as classical singer, acknowledged and appreciated by Pt Hari Prasad Chourasia. I feel confident about his potential even more after listening to his recent performances. He is yet to be acknowledged by masses across this sub continent. Thank you... no doubt there are many more singers of his generation in Pakistan but I would like to say "BozorgoN ki Rooh" aur "Haathi ke PaaouN meiN sab ka PaaouN". After the generation of Hamid Ali KhaN and similar talented from various other gharana et al, Akbar has definitely given capacity and hope to the survival of note worthy preservation of our classical heritage. Thank you for your perseverance in promoting and safeguarding the tradition. Mamnoon 🙏

What a voice! Great singer. I remember he was lauded and blessed by flautist Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia several years back in one Indian reality show where he sang this one and mesmerised all the judges.

Wish the sarangi was lower in the mix and not overpowering his vocals. Akbar Ali has to be one of the most accomplished classical singers of his generation. He has the maturity, purity and thehrao that you rarely see from even the bigger gharana singers.
