One of the best sitarists in the country today. This Gurjari Todi is as good as it can get. Desi todi was equally amazing. This alaap is my core listening every morning. Thanks for the sublime music, Mita.

Mita ji pranam 🙏. Mam I want to request a Raag that isn't heard nowadays. I am talking about Raag Meerabai ki Malhar. If you could do a recital on it then we might be able to again cherish this beautiful Raag.

@@jayantighosh2377 I have heard her play this raag so beautifully in itc sra. And then later on in her home. She has a beautiful command on these rare ragas 🙏🏻😇

@@Madhuvanti Then I just can't wait anymore. First she Surprised us with Raag Jayant Malhar and now as you are saying she also has this Ace under her sleeve. She Should be called the Queen of Malhars; as her Malhars really are Beautiful.🙏

@@jayantighosh2377 she also plays Dhuliya Malhar 😁 and sur-Malhar, ramdasi Malhar, Desh Malhar, MEGH Malhar 😁😁😁 I might be forgetting some 😁and yes she can be called that.. I am fortunate to have heard her play all the malhars over the years!!
