I am a fan of Rafisahab since childhood and I and my colleague are running Mohmmad Rafi foundation in Vadodara and celebrating his birthday and death anniversary in a big way. Today I understand the beauty of Rag Malkaunsh, Bhimpalasi, yaman Kalyan, shivranjani etc. I appreciate your dedicated efforts to explain beauty of each rag in a easy manner to music lovers. Keep it up.

I agree with you, Rafisaab w/o man tad pat hari darshan...will be incomplete commentary. Sashtriya sangeet at its best getting poured from the heart, sangam of bhakti, devotion and purity.Ajra amar kruti. Nicely explained, understood by a layman like me.

भारतीय संगीत विश्व की बहोत बड़ी सेवा कर रहे है आप, राग,स्वर,रस,सुर ,ताल इत्यादि जेसी बारीकी इतनी गहराई से समझाने वाले शायद ही कुछ लोग बचे है।सच्चे संगीत को आप जेसे कुछ लोग ही बचा पाएंगे वरना कुछ तथाकथित मॉडर्न गायको ने तो संगीत की हालत खराब कर रखी है।

I heard Mohd Rafi cried after singing Hari Om from Baiju Bawra and when asked why he was crying he said yeh Rag Malkauns ka kamal hai. For greater bhakti I also heard that he asked for a photo of Krishna to be kept in front of him

Rohit ji your tremendous and indepth knowledge and style of presenting raga based songs give us a new vision and respect to the respective legend singers and composers.Malkons raga is said to be favourite of Lord Shiva and really it tunes in unique engrossed way with all seriousness.
