Shahbaz Ali is an Associate Professor in Urdu Literature at the Govt. Post- graduate College, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. Musically, he is a disciple of Qazi Zahoor ul Haq and the legendary harmonium wizard Ustad Master Sadiq Pindiwale. Shahbaz Ali is amongst the select few musicologists in Pakistan having authored a series of books of which 'Sur Sansaar'has received international acclaim, his television programme Meri Mausiqui on PTV also deserves special mention.
