I heard him (ustad) many years later. I used to listen to his raag regularly through audio cassettes. Today I am happy to see again his magical performance. Love from Bangladesh ❤️

I have been listening 🎧 to our Rashid Bhai since 1994 🌹 I believe he is next to Pt. Bhimanna 🙏 Pt. Kumar Gandharva ji 🙏 specially Malkauns 🌹 Darbari and Megh to name a few 👍 I listen to others also for a while... And come back again to our Rashid Bhai 🙏🌹 mesmerizing, captivating, mind blowing 🌹 I rate him as #1 in classical music 🌹 unparalleled 👍 unexcelled 🙏🌹❤️👍 love you Bhai 👍❤️

Sublime, as usual. Rashid Khan is the best. When I first heard him many, many years back, I had felt as though the Heavens opened and God sang. His voice has a kind of primal, original beauty. Like thunder. The deep and profound melody at the heart of the cosmos. Rabindranath Thakur has a song, 'ki dhwani baaje gahana chetana majhe' set to raag Poorvi, which speaks of the primal melody that fills his heart and being. Of course, Bhimshen Joshi ji is sublime, too.

Both Pandit Bhimsen Joshiji and Ustad Rashid Khan Sahab are into a league of their own and are incomparable .They have their own distinct style of gayaki and have enthralled audiences all around the world with their extra ordinary artistic mastery in their field. Both deserve accolades and are highly esteemed for their tremendous contribution to the promotion of Hindustani Classical Music both in India and abroad and justifiably receive a standing ovation for their performances.
