Only in the Gospel of John, the Most evangelistic book in the Bible it says 98 times BELIEVE in Jesus and you're saved, you have everlasting life when you BELIEVE. Upwards of 160 times in NT it says by BELIEVING we are saved. When we BELIEVE in Jesus we simultaneously repent, we change our mind about Jesus.

Moses was an intermediary as was all the prophets. Sin separated us from God, Jesus is the mediator that reconcile sinners back to God because he took our sins upon himself and died instead of us. “The soul that sin it shall die”. Ezekiel 18:20

Jesus is rejected by many and that is a sign He is the Messiah.
