@@TheRabbitryCenter I have one. I heard that I need 3 generations. How does this work with line breeding? That is, I have one Buck and two females (generation 1) . Those females have kits (gen 2), and one of those kits is mated with the Buck. Is that now gen 3?

Rabbit Farm Record Management is an app I have been using a few months now. It’s not bad. I like I can use my phone, I rarely get on the pc 🤷‍♀️

Great video man, my fiance has an English spot buck I was wondering how you go about pedigreeing would I need the parent and grandparents information?

Yes you may be able to request that information from the rabbitry you purchased your rabbit from. You can always start recording information starting with your rabbit and 3 generations later you have your pedigree but of course that would be a longer process.

Do you ever dry and keep your cut grass for hay? I guess it would depend on your grass make up, but I would be interested in how you would dry and store cut grass if you do that.

$35.00 a bale now in store can't get from farmers this year Yet was in barn $9.00 $7.00 on field

Your channel has been very helpful and I look forward to your new videos! I have a question maybe you can help answer. I am looking to buy rabbits currently, and just received a response from a rabbitry that they are a "closed rabbitry for bio-security" resulting in my not being able to visit/see the rabbits except via picture. Is this something that is normal or should i pass on this rabbitry? My worry is that they are trying to hide something like bad living conditions or something along those lines. But I don't know enough to know if this is even an issue!

This is a common question. I'd look at the Rabbitry and research the reviews. In order to guarantee the health of the herd you run a secure rabbitry by only having a few people accessing the rabbitry regularly. This way you avoid contamination and can conduct all business away from rabbits and only after rabbits have been purchased do folks get to inspect them. We run our Rabbitry the same way. Some folks frown upon this because it's fun to walk the rabbitry and see all the animals but this takes lots of time which some farms just don't have available and your always taking a chance with airborne contagious diseases. Hi, when i get rabbits, should i ask for paperwork from them. I am getting a couple pedigrees rabbits next week. Or do i start my chart from start point on my own farm? Thank you

You’ll start with rabbits that are pedigreed and you’ll need to make a new pedigree using that info once you choose a rabbit to breed with. if you don’t have pedigrees, then you’ll start recording information, but this will take several generations so it’s best to start with a Pedigreed rabbits
