In all seriousness, Cortana looks really dumb with that cybernetic body suit, but I do understand why they did so. Halo wars and halo 4 had AI with fully dressed personas so it was a given that it was going to happen to her. Otherwise why doesn't Cortana have clothes on... For chiefs sake😆.

I love the fact that John recalls what Dr. Halsey did to him and Cortana says "she forced you, this is a gift". Then when she turns around and she starts to flutter away, her hair turns gray to show she's just like Dr. Halsey and she is no better than forcing people to her will.

Which sorta justifies Cortana's anger towards the UNSC. In her defense, they were really no better than the Covenant. Kidnaping kids, enforcing martial law onto other colonies and even killing civilians while having a messed up sense of moral superiority before the Covenant showed up. Master Chief is without a doubt a hero, but the Government he is serving just sees him as another weapon. It's no wonder Cortana turned out the way she did. It was never her fault, it was all the UNSC's fault. They brought on themselves. Maybe the bad guys are the bad guys, but at least that's true. The UNSC is just a self-righteous fascist government wearing a mask of Democracy and claim they do what's best for humanity, but really only seek to maintain their power and dominance while having a strong militaristic dogma (they even glorified a Roman General who committed suicide because his emperor ordered him to, purely because said emperor saw him as a threat to imperial power.), no different from the Covenant.

That line would imply John dislikes Halsey for kidnapping him and putting him through the SPARTAN program... which he doesn't... not really. He knows it was a morally reprehensible thing to do; knows he was denied the chance to be a normal child, to have a normal life. He knows what his original purpose was for--to suppress Innies and keep the colonies in line--and while he doesn't like killing his fellow humans, he'll still do so. All the same, however, he also realizes that he was selected for a reason: he, along with everyone else there, was chosen to be better then they ever would or could otherwise. He knows he can do more as a Spartan than he probably could as a regular civvie or enlisted man, and he has. TL;DR: John knows what's been done to him was bad, but he wouldn't have it any other way. Might be the indoctrination talking, sure, but that's not for me to decide.

I thought Evil Cortana was a cool twist and makes you remember that she is an A.I. She can be corrupted. And I thought it would've been cool to explore the idea of John having to fight the person he trusted more then anyone. Sad Halo Infinity didn't go through with it.

A friend of mine made the observation that, since Cortana is normally seen as naked, and here she's wearing clothes, it's actually a reflection of the story of Adam and Eve. Once Eve ate the apple of knowledge, she realised that she was naked and covered herself. This could be seen as Cortana gaining infinite knowledge of now having accessed the Domain, and now shows herself as being clothed as a result. She has gained all knowledge, therefore she is no longer naked. Also, that symbol on her chest is the Forerunner sign for "The Mantle of Responsibility".

This story was actually quite beautiful, although I wish they’d developed Locke more, I like how we got to see through a secondary Spartan, the great mythos of Master Chief in action. I really do like the story of the AI’s rising up, and being mankind’s catalyst to greatness on their Reclaimer journey.

It's funny, the story doesnt change too drastically of you remove Locke and the Osiris team They were just a plan B that ended up leaving less time for Blue team to be fleshed out in the game, everything Osiris team did could've been done with Blue team, it would've helped with the awkward cuts in the story where you'd leave cheif and start playing as Locke and when you go back go Cheif hes in a completely different place and you missed an hour of context to hear Osiris team mess about. Locke would've been better off in his own game so they could actually use him and his team to full effect.

I will never understand men getting emotional about these corporate sequels like Halo 5. You can't even see what Master Cheif's face looks like, but we're supposed to be "feeling" something in this scene?.. This game was a hot mess with a garbage increadibly short story. This is not even in game engine, it's some CGI trash churned out and tacked onto the game with chewing gum. Story telling like this with the melodramatic lines and cliche double crosses are the OPPOSITE of "heartbreaking". The only heartbreaker is that this piece of shit game nearly killed Halo.

It’s not too late to stop this.” I feel that those words combined with the music at that point were one of the only good parts of this game. Showing how Chief is willing to make the hard decisions and sticks to what he believes in. Plus trying to reason with what even he should be able to see at this point is nearly a lost cause.

The best part is that he was aware that what Cortana was doing was wrong. He wasn't trying to deny what she was doing either, he knew she had blood on her hands, but he was still willing to negotiate with her peacefully, appeal to what little humanity she had left.

They made cortana a bit more thicc (2:16) but gave her armour. And now the new „cortana“ gets a uniform… I know that in Halo 5 she looks very close to Halo 1-3. Nonetheless Halo 4 cortana was pretty delightful, and jokes aside the coolest design. Looked more human with the loose hair and bunny teeth. 343 needs to bring back bobas

Can we talk about how Chief's entire existence has been finding threats to humanity and killing/neutralizing them on sight? Even the potential is enough like in the beginning of Halo 3 when he nearly blew the Arbiter's brains out yet when it comes to Cortana, who has a huge giant robot army and is definitely a huge threat to the entire galaxy he tried to reason with her? I have never heard Chief offer anybody a chance to surrender or talk it through yet he gave that to Cortana. It also goes against everything a Spartan 2 is as evidenced by the rest of Blue Team saying nothing and probably thinking about the best way to shut her down. I just found that really sweet and sad.... he was willing to against every instinct he had for her.
