I feel the third cutscene somewhat showed us some things about Misfortune’s past. She dreams of having a happy family with her parents is one thing, another is she might have been punished for things by being locked in a dark room until dinner was made. And this last one, this last one is a big stretch, but I feel her hay father being burned is a way of representing her father somehow living her life, whether it be death, divorce, or being sent to prison for abusing her mother

The final cutscene feels like they are trying to paraphrase the Legend of Zelda, Benjamin representing Link, Morgo represents Ganon, and Misfourtune is Zelda.

Did you notice that in 2:22 she draws all the kids from her town that have been missing? This is why she's drawing them together with the dog, because they're all dead. And this is also why they're opening the window for her to fly with her together into the sky (or heaven), but Morgo's crows are stopping them because he wants their souls for himself. And this is also why Hiro always says "Kiri wa doko desu ka?" ("Where's the fog?"), because he's looking for his entrance to the afterlife (in the end, Misfortune walks through the fog, too together with Benjamin), but he can't find it since Morgo is hindering him.

I think it makes sense thematically however. Morgo visualises himself as what the child fears. Misfortune is quite an optimistic girl, and as such, her fears are quite simple. However, it is theorised morgo was one of the many demons of Fran bow. Due to Fran's unfortunate life, her visualisation of morgo is a lot more threatening. Morgo's level of power is also theorised to be affected by the form he must take, which is why he's such a pushover here. I would love if this game got a DLC where we encounter a more threatening morgo. Perhpas as the mother, better known as Fran.

I also never pictured him to be a demon because There are some points where it seems he does actually care and love her (as creepy as that's sounds) although yes there are somtimes were he seems he hates her or doesn't care about her..like when he brought her to a strip club or screamed at her for talking too much.

considering from the obvious fact that Morgo is responsible for the disappearance and/or death of a majority of the kids in the video game i assume that Morgo wants to eat Misfortune in some way, collect her as a "toy" to make him stronger, or kill her because he wants too.

Totally wrong. Morgo is a newly created entity in the 6th dimension (a paradoxical dimension where everything is real and fake at the same time). Not much is known besides from the fact that he needs "fresh victims" and tries to drive them completely mad first before taking them to the 6th dimension. Benjamin is just a Psychopomp. A psychopomp guides the souls of the dead into the afterlife to meet Death. It is Morgo who kills Misfortune by making her unable to see the car on the road, thus killing her. And also Morgo who prevents her spirit from reaching the afterlife, keeping her in a pseudo-death stance.
