This was the season Ford and in particularly SBR picked up and body slammed HRT. Those SBR engines are just magical and sound SOOO good.

That’s gotta be a ford man’s favourite race to watch as Ambrose ran down skaif from 18 seconds behind then push skaif till that gm v8 spat its internal organs out. 1 , 2 stone brothers. Legends of there time in Supercars .

This was the race when towards the end of the race Ambrose got a drive through penalty the the last pit stop HRT pitted Skaife done fuel and not tyres, so he was on old rubber and full tanks going slow, SBR and Ambrose did tyres and didnt need much fuel and he was doing qualifying lap as he was flying and catching Skaife, I believe Skaife also retired when an Engine let go trying to get away from the fast approaching Ambrose.!

You would be 100% correct. I can tell you ever in the pit bay couldn’t believe how quick Ambrose was. All he wanted was joe menu Laps to go.

Would love to see David Besnard win the 2002 Queensland 500 again if you could upload that. was a great memory from my childhood with poor Murph running out of fuel. Thanks for uploading all of these old races. They keep me going during lockdown.

I'm afraid they don't because the race meetings post 2014 onwards are now in control of Foxtel.
