This new gen of Supercars has definitely grown on me! The Mustangs now look like the road cars, and they sound great and race great!

Couldn’t agree more, was spectacle about the new gens but IMO I think they look cooler than the Commodores and Falcons! Both models front ends are so aggressive.

Hard disagree. What's with all the American cars?! Focussing on the sport coupe class of vehicles is OK but then where is the Nissan Z, where is the Toyota Supra, where is the BMW M4? Fans aren't interested in seeing only American pony cars out there... They miss the battles of George Fury's Nissan Bluebird against Jim Richards' BMW 635csi among others. One of the pony cars - the Chevrolet Camaro - is no longer on sale in Australia and incredibly rare in Australia in any case. Chevrolet is an incredibly obscure brand in Australia, why is it even out there at all? (Holden does not exist anymore...)

@@TassieLorenzo Holden no longer exists but blame GM, and blame poor sales in the later years. Name an Australian car brand that would compete in this series today. Also this is the first year of the new gen of Supercars. Maybe more manufactures might become interested in the coming years. The Battles you mentioned are long over.

@@ceeinfiniti1389 Good points! I think it will be very hard to attract other manufacturers to an Americana format. Nissan Z v Ford Mustang, turbo six v V8, would have been a better starting point for the Gen 3 format to showcase the flexibility of Gen 3. (Given SC pay to license the Camaro and could have licensed the Z instead.)

@@TassieLorenzo True, but there's also GM's interest and involvement in the series. It's quite possible the organizers either have reached out or are reaching out to other brands for some more involvement, but axing GM altogether when they were still supporting the series at a factory level even after they shut down Holden in 2017 would have been a huge mistake!

They stuffd it up right frm th getgo,by starting brand new cars that have limited vision frm driver,bouncing over n off tyre bundles n curbs at newcastle,operating a high quotient of control parts that teams struggled wif straight away. Makes more sense t me t startva series at a track,not a street, but hey,what do I know.

@@pizzaki582 that’s a personal opinion. The chev is a lighter engine with a lower centre of gravity. When you drive around corners that matters. A lot. Fact is Ford dropped the ball on this one. Just like they have in nascar. Rushbrook must be getting worried about his job.

not personal opinion, the fact are the rules benefit the camaro. as you say the engine is lighter and better for corners. The ford engine is under performing and can easily output more power, but the rules won't allow that since Parity is based on the Camero engine. because supercars did'nt even want ford running their engines.

im from usa i love super car. but i feel like the stawards are giving chevy the wins and championship, because the camaro has died and super car has no replacment. lol they should have ties to ford being there car is still alive. what super car gonna do for next year as the mustang evolves.

The Camaro is dead so they have to let Chevy in the Camaro win because Chevy doesn't have anything to replace it with in NASCAR. If you are a student to NASCAR, you know that the car company must have 500 productions of a street car of a car that it wants to race in NASCAR. It's just like how Dodge won the championship with Brad keselowski, the next year Dodge was not in NASCAR 🤷🏾♂️
