Race Cars on wet/humid Monza: Traction Control Noises, Powerslides, Mistakes & Pure Sounds!

I've always found it so fascinating to be able to record some motorsport action in the rain. As well as making things more difficult for the drivers and allowing me to record some powerslides coming out of corners it also allows you to visualize the work of aerodynamics through water spray and hear the intervention of the traction control every now and then.
So here's a compilation I put together of some track action I recorded in 2023 at Monza Circuit during various test days and/or racing weekends. Hope you like it!

Ever since I spun in the rain at Mt. Tremblant Canada (1980's) and the scolding I took from my instructor, I learned how to feel and internalize the lack of grip at all four wheels and trade cornering for power on the straights. Watch the Donner car going up Pikes Peak in a Porsche Turbo S in the wet to see that kind of concentration. Imagine squeezing a raw egg with your right foot. As Jackie Stewart used to say, rain sorts out the men from the boys. Thanks.

To be fair, you know as much as me at the moment 😅Jokes asides I still have to fill most of my calendar for the first half of the year and than decide which events to attend. So far I only know I'll be mainly in Misano and Imola in March for various pre-season tests. Regarding events over the weekend I should be at Mugello Classic in early April and then at the Festival of Speed in July. One last thing I've already planned is AirPower24, an airshow in Austria near the Red Bull Ring in early September

@@joe125ful at least at goodwood festival of speed when I went last year a lot of the big v12’s were running on green fuels so they sounded the same . I honestly hate the idea of electric sports cars. For eg an electric fiat 500 sounds the same as a Porsche Taycan so what’s the point yes the Porsche is faster but they sound the same silent !

The Audi R8 sounds like a Lamborghini engine. I like the KTM in orange and black colors. It looks like an Asian giant hornet(Vespa mandarina) with very aggressive lines.
