This isn't a typical video for my channel. I installed the Race Deck Free Flow interlocking tile in my garage. I show you the installation and give a few tips I learned along the way. Installing the flooring is so easy and it only takes a few hours. It was a little expensive though. Full cost breakdown at the end.

Thank you for the video. Very helpful. I just received my shipment from racedeck today. Have not opened up any of the boxes but I have noticed that all the boxes and numbers are the same. I do not see the trim pieces that I ordered on the boxes. How were your trim pieces packed? I called Racedeck but the person I talked today could not answer the question. It is Saturday. I hope they are there on Monday when we plan to begin installation. I bout a cutter from Amazon for about $120.

I’ve had a few epoxy floors done. They get slippery as shit and you always have to keep applying clear coat with anti slip sand in it and in a few months it’s wears off again. But I use my garage a lot for work.

These look nice, but they're not practical for a regular garage. I can't imagine spilling oil or anything not water based on those. Would be such a hassle removing tiles to clean the floor underneath, let alone getting oil off those tiles.

I’ve have a garage floor that is not level and water drains and pools to one side of the garage and then to the opposite side as well. What are your thoughts on putting down this type of tile? Also pulling in a car does the tile move? What about tire marks? Thank you,
@thatteslacouple

I park my car in the garage every day. There are no tire marks & there is no discoloring from the tiles. I’m really happy with this product. My floor has a small spot water pools but the openings in the tile still allows the water to evaporate. So it’s no different than letting it sit on the floor now

When I moved into my house 5 years ago, the previous owner allowed his leaking car to accumulate a pool of oil on the concrete floor. He put an absorbent mat to soak up the oil but never cleaned it. The concrete was eaten away to a depth of 1 inch. My concern with the type of flooring is that oil would drop through the tiles and accumulate in a similar way. What do you think? Does the company offer solid tiles for under the car?

This isnt the correct tiles for garage. These are made of Polypropylene, so they are quite hard and easy to break in case of any tool will fall on the floor. Also, the gab on the tiles makes the substrate exposed to oil (permanent damage of the substrate), dirt, water and so on. These tiles are great in indoor for garages only in case there is significant humidity coming up from the substrate and it's necessary to have ventilation between the floor and the substrate
@thatteslacouple
@thatteslacouple Жыл бұрын
I disagree. These aren’t easy to break. I workout on this floor & haven’t had any break. Using a basic shop vac & you are able to get most dirt from underneath the tiles. I recommend this product
@robertm1692

These tiles are rated at 80,000 lbs of load capacity so how is dropping a tool going to damage one? This tile is specifically designed to allow water and other liquids to flow through them. If you don't want liquids to pas through get a solid surface tile.
