What a TRAGIC start. I'd be so mad. These bumps are missed these days. The Nordschleife is of course still a challenge, but it has been tamed in many places. This entire video was awesome...getting pushed off track, spun, driving though oil, getting blocked, finding yellow flags in the worst spot...this is a true Nurburgring race...Just brilliant!

Hope that Porsche got a penalty for taking the BMW out, totally uncalled for that

Porsches of that time were fairly susceptible to radiator damage from contact like this, as they were mounted literally as far forward as they could get them. Obviously unclear if he got away with it in that respect, as you can't see it really, but it was a hell of a thump. I'd be angry too.

Following the link in the description for the corvette onboard, it looks like the porsche went for the inside and the understeered into the right rear of the bmw as he went for the corner himself. Probably went down as a first lap racing incident I'd imagine.

It would be much better with rear view camera.... to feel in the race. Please try to have more videos with it.

It's really depends on whether the racing team the car belongs to have installed one, otherwise there is nothing our dear uploader can do about that.
