Just shows what 26 years of aerodynamic improvement has done for downforce. In the 90s, you say downforce they say what. Now, everyone builds them for handling first and then trims them down for speed 2nd.

You are not supposed to hit that apex... To carry as much speed as possible, you want to turn as smoothly as possible. So you don't aim for the apex in the second horseshoe... You just aim for the distant exit.

If it doesn't, the Cadillac certainly have something to say about that. Reinhold Joest knows the business. He's raced Le Mans as a driver and as a team owner, so he knows what it takes to make a car run and sure he's put his money in this car helping Mazda develop it into the same level of endurance and speed as the Audis were under Joest's leadership. I'm betting on the #31 crew from Action Express because they have Felipe Nasr, Eric Curran and Pipo Derani at the controls of a Cadillac for the win, but I'm hoping the #55 & the #77 will be there at the end in contention with the #31 and the #5. Also will be interesting to watch the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac and the two Acuras from Penske.

2.0 Turbo 4 cyl Super GT500 in Japan and DTM are now using this engine layout that produces something about 650hp. However when it comes to prototypes like this Mazda the lap times are crazy due to lighter overall weight and the high downforce and grip.
