Jamie Hector, who's now on Amazon's hit show "BOSCH," waited until he was on "The Wire" to reveal his acting ambitions to his mom & sister.

I mean, Sgt. Johnson was a Spartan 1(Orion), and he looks extremely young to be in his 70's in Halo 2 Anniversary. No doubt a Spartan 3 like Emile would be able to stay young like he is.

Jamie Hector played...brought to life, really...the most riveting, most frightening villain I could never have imagined. That's what made the "Marlo" character so great. Hector is the only actor I've ever seen approach such a character with his innate intelligence, violence, power player with such visceral and unredemptive evil. Marlo was not bad. He was evil. And Jamie brought all his understated, even unspoken, evil to life.
@brandall1013 жыл бұрын
Interesting thing about Jamie is he was a professional actor for a decade prior to becoming Marlo, even attending the prestigious Lee Strasberg Institute (school of Marlon Brando, James Dean, Paul Newman, Al Pacino, Robert Deniro). The Wire was unique in that many of the side characters were actual street kids, but the main characters typically were seasoned actors, just relative unknowns, which really helped give the show an aura of authenticity.

Don't compare Breaking Bad to The Wire. There is no comparison. Breaking Bad is insanely cheesy, dramatized, and unrealistic. The Wire opens your eyes on a system that gives up on people. I can't speak for everyone, but for me, it certainly makes me feel grateful for my upbringing.
