However this song, was my favorite. It made that pain bearable and it set the foundation for who I am. i came here bc my aunt has been sick with stroke, she has no kids but im grateful that many of her family members care for her. ive heard this song many times before but i shed a tear today after hearing it on the radio on my way home from the hospital. i still believe she can win her fight. i hope you can too ❤️

When I was 16, after 10 years of compulsory public education, I watched a couple of friends leave to further their tertiary educations overseas, while I could only get a local polytechnic diploma. 2-3 years after that, I watch more friends walk proudly into various local universities, while my educational journey came to an end. I came from a poor family and my father could only send me for basic education and nothing more as I had 3 younger siblings who were still schooling. After 3 years in the military, I began working and became the family bread winner. I never stopped working for almost 25 years and slowly climbed up the career ladder. A few years ago, I hear this song and it struck a cord in me. I decided it was time. I enrolled in graduate school at 45. Next to the lecturer, I was the oldest person in class. Everywhere I went on campus, I stood out like a sore thumb. Everyone was on laptops and tablets, while I was on books, papers and pencils. But I didn't give up, I kept turning to this song to keep me going. THIS was MY fight song. I struggled hard but help soon came. Classmates half my age who once spurred the 'old dude' from groups in class, turned to me for life advice and in turn, helped me navigate the digital world and gadgets and online submissions. I still turned to this song to keep the fire going when I wanted to give up. I graduated last year, ahead of schedule, 4 years out of a 5 year part time degree programme. My parents couldn't make it as they were too frail. There was no one in the audience clapping for a 49 year old graduate. But I was proud. I had made it. And this song was one of those songs that just kept me telling myself ... I can do this!

Short and ugly with an ugly scar on my neck from a thyroid cancer surgery. Living in a big city in a foreign country with only one friend is boring and stressful. Days begin by getting ready to work and end in a boring room with lonely bed. And your family most of the time only remembers you when they need something from you. And your boyfriend chooses to be with someone else after spending almost 4 years of your life with him. But life goes on because I've still got a lot of fight left in me.

Cancer patient. Going through chemo. I lost my job due to days missed because of biopsies, ultrasounds, and treatments. I reached a low point, but I've still got a lot of fight left in me.

My Grandma has Cancer. She loves this song so much, she says that it's her inspiration and so am I. I decided to play this on the piano for her. She is a plays both the piano and the organ and she said that what I played was the best thing she's ever heard. She's really weak sometimes and I love her some much. I listen to this song when I feel like cutting myself , it stops me from doing it so it really helps . I've been bullied since I started school and it was all because of my weight and it caused me to starve myself which led to me being in hospital for 6 and a half months , I was happy that i wasn't at school but at the same time I hated being in Hospital because my family kept pushing me to eat and I didn't want to . Another time I was in hospital because I had cut so deep into my arm I sliced a vein and there was so much blood that i almost died it was so scary . Then 2 weeks ago I took an overdose I passed out and was prenounced dead but the did cpr to save me I was so grateful they did ... I've been clean for a week all because of this song I just love it ! Me and my mum had a talk and I might have to be homeschooled because apparently I cause a lot of rumours in school because people find out what happened to me then they add to it and pass it on . 2024 anyone?

Three years ago I was in a car accident. I broke three out of four limbs, fractured a bone in my neck, and also a bruised bone all along the other arm. Today I am still alive and I am pretty much done getting patched up after 12 surgeries. I can walk with little assistance, and I continue to gain strength. Yes. This IS my fight song!

I've been living with long-term illness from my late teens till almost late 30s. Two of my exes left me because of my disability. Been back and forth from one hospital to another hospital and only now doc found reasons for my illness, which is A LOT. Been giving up too many times but I'm glad I'm surrounded by family and friends who never give up on me and curing me. One day, on my latest MRI scan, this song was on the headphone which this song was and still my motivation words to me. Once I listened to the song, I cried. I cried the whole journey while I was in the MRI. But I cannot move my head or hand to wipe my tears. After the scan is over, the Doctor just smiles and hugs me. After a while, the doctor said 'Everything will be fine and you're strong'. Those words really made my day. For those who are having a bad day, just know that there are people who want you to succeed and conquer your feelings and pains. You're never alone. You're stronger than you think. You're lucky you're being tested cause God knows you're capable of getting through it.

I'll HAVE to download this from iTunes the next time I get a card. After being left in a debilitating condition, it's hard to keep hope alive some days. With songs like this to pick me up, though; it gets me through life one day at a time. I might sound weak, but I'm lucky to be alive; after sepsis put me on life-support at Christmas 2013. They told my family that I wasn't going to make it ... but I DID (minus my large-bowel). It wasn't an easy recovery, though (in fact, I'm suffering complications that can't be fixed). Despite this, I make plans to spend time with my family, even though it puts me through so much pain. But I bear it & carry on, one day at a time. That's how I "fight". If I was able to get through multiple organ-failure, emergency surgery, a 5-week coma, then face death & recover from it; the sky is the limit. I'm telling this now, in the hope that it can inspire others to get through difficult obstacles in life; to show that it IS possible to overcome them. ☺️
