Because Robert complained about his role and plot of Twilight but never had this attitude as Rachel. Sure, she is very young, so I think society is too harsh on her but she should really learn more abou humility. I mean, Robert never dared to say that it would be completely fine if directors cut all Kristen's scenes- sorry but that is totally disrespectful to her college and I wonder how happy she would be if someone cut all her scenes from any movie. She doesn't seem to realize there is more than one way to be a woman, and that being a girl boss, where finding love is a secondary concern is okay but so is finding a partner to spend your life with. Feminist, real feminist, even criticized her. Charlotte and Samantha are very different in Sex in the City both, but have valid outlooks on life, that work for them. They come to respect and gain strength from each other, even though they are different.

I find the way she expresses herself to be grating and the feeling lends itself to my not being inclined to watch her films. I’m not obligated to like every actor.

The problem with her isn’t the fact she’s a feminist though or that she’s apart of Gen Z. I’m pretty sure she’s my age or around my age so yeah you’re right that she’s still learning but her being a feminist is not the problem.

I just think Disney made a Snow White adaptation that has no dwarves and no prince because positive representation and gender equality would be too political so they went with apolitical. So now they're trying to frame that as progressive through the lead actress whose job it is to promote the movie in interviews by following the talking points prepared for her by their marketing team.

Exactly! I was frustrated when I first found out about how people first reacted when they found out she was Latina. It kinda reminded me of when I was a kid and dressed as Snow White for Halloween no one said anything and I wasn’t told that I couldn’t be Snow White because I had brown skin.

This is the Internet. Everything everyone says is of the utmost importance, and if they dare criticise my children’s movies from almost a century ago, then my life will be utterly ruined. They shouldn’t ever change anything… and also if they don’t change anything I will yet at it for being a soulless cash grab.

Well, see, they want my money…. and they do promotional things to whet my appetite to encourage me to give them my money. But instead, they present something distasteful that encouraged me to keep my money. And the more they “promote” the more distasteful it gets. So at this point not only do I not want to give them my money, but I don’t want to see her face anymore because her face reminds me of how distasteful she is. Does it matter in the grand scheme of things? No, all entertainment is completely unnecessary for survival. But as long as I see her face it’s going to bring up negative thoughts. They’ve trained me like Pavlov’s dog.

Disney is promoting a movie that they want me to pay to watch and give em more money. I don’t like the new story, the casting. It’s not affecting me because it’s just entertainment. Am I not allowed to critique the entertainment that’s being recommended to me?

I won't be seeing it, but that's because I can't summon up any interest. I was hugely into all the original but I never felt the need for a prequel. So I've not gotten round to the book. And thus can't be bothered with a film of it.

@@reveluv9614 bruh the entire movie was made to be the first feature film in animation the original film writers were not given high priority they did not spend time making Snow White an actual character like later Disney films. Most of the characterization comes from peoples associations of the previously established fairytale. She was intentionally not written with personality god forbid people want to see the movie with an actual main character
