My mom struggled with depression. She went thru a lot in her life. I tried so many things to help her. I was about to send her this song bc I knew she had it in her to fight but I lost her before I sent it. I can’t describe the pain I feel wishing I did more. This song reminds me of her every time I hear it and gives me will to keep fighting. ❤

I am 65 (on the 30th), still feel like a young woman, and am about to make a new start. Leaving a man I don't want to live with any longer. I still got a lot of fight left in me too!!!

When I was 16, after 10 years of compulsory public education, I watched a couple of friends leave to further their tertiary educations overseas, while I could only get a local polytechnic diploma. 2-3 years after that, I watch more friends walk proudly into various local universities, while my educational journey came to an end. I came from a poor family and my father could only send me for basic education and nothing more as I had 3 younger siblings who were still schooling. After 3 years in the military, I began working and became the family bread winner. I never stopped working for almost 25 years and slowly climbed up the career ladder. A few years ago, I hear this song and it struck a cord in me. I decided it was time. I enrolled in graduate school at 45. Next to the lecturer, I was the oldest person in class. Everywhere I went on campus, I stood out like a sore thumb. Everyone was on laptops and tablets, while I was on books, papers and pencils. But I didn't give up, I kept turning to this song to keep me going. THIS was MY fight song. I struggled hard but help soon came. Classmates half my age who once spurred the 'old dude' from groups in class, turned to me for life advice and in turn, helped me navigate the digital world and gadgets and online submissions. I still turned to this song to keep the fire going when I wanted to give up. I graduated last year, ahead of schedule, 4 years out of a 5 year part time degree programme. My parents couldn't make it as they were too frail. There was no one in the audience clapping for a 49 year old graduate. But I was proud. I had made it. And this song was one of those songs that just kept me telling myself ... I can do this!

I want to dedicate this song to all those out there fighting depressions. It's okay to cry, it's okay to run away but never every give up on yourself. Over the last few years of my life, I’ve been undergoing leg surgery after leg surgery, the pain was excruciating and unbearable, the therapy to walk again after those surgeries were even harder. However this song, was my favorite. It made that pain bearable and it set the foundation for who I am. I have way more to go and rehearing this song brings so much nostalgia from my those days of suffering which are not over. So I must thank you Rachel. Thank you for creating this masterpiece that kept my spirit going. My heart cried with pain, and it never stopped but through it I hear this song. This is not just a song. I was in a mental hospital for children under 18 suffering depression, committed suicidal attempts, selfharm and other mental health disorders. I remember we all sang this song out loud sometimes, and that memory always makes me smile. It's a beautiful and positive song, and I still love it!

I met my friend for the first time when he was only 5weeks old.when i saw him i just knew an great adventure was going to happen and he became my best friend.he sadly passed away in 2022.he was my jack Russell .his name was Milo 17 yrs old and he was my favourite hello but my hardest goodbye.i still visit his grave everyday in my backyard.he died of cancer and he was a fighter🐕🚶

I'll HAVE to download this from iTunes the next time I get a card. After being left in a debilitating condition, it's hard to keep hope alive some days. With songs like this to pick me up, though; it gets me through life one day at a time. I might sound weak, but I'm lucky to be alive; after sepsis put me on life-support at Christmas 2013. They told my family that I wasn't going to make it ... but I DID (minus my large-bowel). It wasn't an easy recovery, though (in fact, I'm suffering complications that can't be fixed). Despite this, I make plans to spend time with my family, even though it puts me through so much pain. But I bear it & carry on, one day at a time. That's how I "fight". If I was able to get through multiple organ-failure, emergency surgery, a 5-week coma, then face death & recover from it; the sky is the limit. I'm telling this now, in the hope that it can inspire others to get through difficult obstacles in life; to show that it IS possible to overcome them. ☺️

I've been living with long-term illness from my late teens till almost late 30s. Two of my exes left me because of my disability. Been back and forth from one hospital to another hospital and only now doc found reasons for my illness, which is A LOT. Been giving up too many times but I'm glad I'm surrounded by family and friends who never give up on me and curing me. One day, on my latest MRI scan, this song was on the headphone which this song was and still my motivation words to me. Once I listened to the song, I cried. I cried the whole journey while I was in the MRI. But I cannot move my head or hand to wipe my tears. After the scan is over, the Doctor just smiles and hugs me. After a while, the doctor said 'Everything will be fine and you're strong'. Those words really made my day. For those who are having a bad day, just know that there are people who want you to succeed and conquer your feelings and pains. You're never alone. You're stronger than you think. You're lucky you're being tested cause God knows you're capable of getting through it.

This song literally saved my friend's life I told my friend who was suffering from depression about 3 years ago with some other motivational songs and she texted me 3 days later that she doesn't wanna give her self up and thank me for everything I did for her and as for now she is still my friend and I would never forget the smile on my face when I saved my friend's life...well this song actually saved her so this song would always have a special place in both of my friend's heart
