The scene, my dad sitting on the floor choosing and playing records (45 rpm's), with me, my two brothers and mom all sitting around listening and singing to each record he would play. Then he would play this song, he would then stand up reach for my mothers hand to dance with her and sang oh so softly in her ear. Me and my brothers all looking at each other making silly faces and thinking to ourselves how corney is that. I am 62 years old and I am so grateful to have lived during that time and what I wouldn't give to be in that room with my bros and watching mom and dad dancing to this song again. Love you mom love you dad and love my bros.

My wife just passed away, end of April. This song came to mind. It's been playing in my head constantly. I play it on repeat on KZfaq. We would have been married 32 years by end of May but knew each other 6 years before we tied the knot. So many memories. So much joy. She went into the hospital the day after her 65th birthday, came home for a week, then shuttled between hospitals, the board and care, ERs, and, eventually, to the mortuary. I'm immeasurably thankful for all the years of joy with which she enriched my life, as well as the two sons she gave us.

My dad just passed away because of COVID. This is his favorite song for my mom. They were always together... How does one go from here? He left for the hospital and came back as ashes? It hurts so much. Listening to this makes my heart hurt for them. They were married for 43 years and we're never involved with anyone else. It is true love...

I am so sorry for losing your dad. I hope you had the opportunity to spend time with him so you can cherish those memories. My dad passed a year ago and mom few years earlier. I was able to visit family 3 times in 43 years as they lived overseas & I wasn't able to visit them more often due to family & children here in the States & fairly successful and time consuming career. Those excuses now seem silly and hurtful. As we know life is fragile and sometimes we forget what matters. I hope time allows you to heal and it will; Your dad will always be with you. This song brought me and wife together we got married on 14 August 1971 she passed on 10 February 2020, she has been only Love I thank the Lord that I could have her for 48years and 6months its been three years and I play thus song everyday and I still shed a tear. 50 years ago, went to see this movie with the only girl I ever loved. This song was a huge hit. We couldn't marry due to my own stupidity. Still over the years, we were in touch. We led different lives, but we both harboured a secret desire that we would be together again. She died recently. Today I stand devastated. The only thing that keeps me going is the wonderful children I have. This song haunts me like hell.

I got a music box when I was around 4 years old and it played this melody. I'd listen to it every single night, and I searched for the name of the song for years and years and finally just quit. The 50th anniversary of The Godfather (2022) put me on an Andy Williams odyssey. Back in the 60s, my generation didn't appreciate his talent. I'm pushing 67 now, and regard Andy as one of the great voices of the 20th century

That's all I heard afterwards was that I had no feelings, I tried to tell her it was just a movie, needless to say, she was a one movie wonder in my world. Thanks Eileen for bringing me back to that time, I had forgotten. Looking back at it, it was precious lol

My dad was madly in love with my mother. But, he was in the army of UK and she was in the navy of USA. They had to divorce. Well, he went insane after that. I had to look for my mum. I told her he was doing badly. She came immediately. She wouldn't let him die. So, he's better now. My dad loves my mum so much.
