This! The m4 shouldn’t be pushing past 5500 rpm until break in service at 1200 miles. M4 will turn into a different beast after break in.

@@codylucier4688 Yes. But I think he stated he only had 700 miles on the car. If that’s the case, he’s racing with thin cleaning oil that the car ships with for break in period and the dealer has not taken it out of “run in period” because he likely hasn’t had an oil change yet.

@@Rxmirez_ I've always been told first 1,000 miles is the break in period. Also, get the first oil change done really soon after first driving it.. like within the first few hundred miles. The first oil change is the most important one of an engines life.

Man that first shift is soooo sloooow. In a Raptor with the 10 speed the best performance you can get as far as settings is Baja mode manual shift. I’ve heard mustangs have a track mode? Maybe track mode manual shift?

I think track mode works better for me. Sport + have a traction control and i think that horsepower remains. I dont know if im wrong

I’ve driven both and own a 5.0. Absolutely agree from a pure stock performance stand point. However, while I respect the M4, it’s too refined and distant for my taste. Just driving around town it kinda just fades into the background. Flying around corners it comes alive. Even if you aren’t flooring it from a light the torque, noise and what not make it so the 5.0 never fades into the background. I am not saying that too hate because I respect the M4, I am more stating the alternate case. I am glad both cars exist. Very similar yet different machines. One offers the experience of doctor performing surgery with a scalpel the other is a construction worker tearing down a wall with a sledge! XD

More horsepower doesn't mean better performance. After driving and riding passenger in a couple gt500s and just about every s550 mustang trim except the mach 1 and gt350 as well as driving and riding in numerous m cars including the car in this video I learned a few things. A g80 is beating the brakes off a gt500 from a dig no question and while a gt500 is probably gonna put a car length on a g80 from a 60 roll, it gets loose on stock tires whereas a g80 is hooking all the way through. Also there's no comparison in the corners a g80 feels way better and even though they're similar weight the g80 feels lighter as it's better balanced. It kinda fills the same hole in the automotive market that the GTR did in the 2010s but for cheaper and with a nicer interior tbh. 6cyl, easily tuneable, awd, big aftermarket, but still has a nice interior, great to daily drive. Also you can find g8Xs for less than gt500s all day. This guy specced his to 100k but you can find them in the 80k range and if you wanted to go completely base you can get them starting at 80 or even a 2wd version for 72k. Really the only things making this one super expensive like this are the $4000 laserlight option, $2000 paint, and he probably got the drivers assistance and executive packages as well for another almost $4000 amongst other options that all have nothing to do with performance. You can't find a gt500 for less than 90k right now and it will probably stay that way as they are limited run whereas they'll make as many m3s and m4s as people want.

Those Stingers are fast though. But not quite as fast as these 2 cars stock.

385 is way to low they make 400+ stock forsure a gen 2 makes 370 to 380

They make over 400whp bone stock, regardless if it’s auto. And FBO E85 cars make over 470whp. Manuals can get into the 500s.

My 2015 gtpp manual dynod stock at 386. My 21 gtpp is not dynod yet but definitely faster stock

Because the car shifts faster automatically in D than in S using the paddle shifter. You go to S to select the gear you want, then you floor it then immediately nudge the shifter to D

You dont race an auto by shifting it with the paddle shifters lol

And in case you didn't know, while the car is in "S" along with Sport+ or drag mode, you can slam the gas pedal to the floorboard one time and it will put the car in the highest gear at the current speed.....then simply go WOT and the trans will upshift at redline if you don't want to use the paddles. Me personally, paddles are much easier. With the very casual "racing" that you are doing, the transmission shifting for you is marginal at best.

@@DerekBaranProductions some autos aren't for manual mode but even if ur in S mode u can downshift and just floor it and the car will upshift on its own in S mode

@@kgcproductions1462 it’s not really keeping up tho… the m4 driver has a terrible reaction time making it perform terribly (plus hes a heavier guy), but you can see it has a lot more power when it runs by the stang.

@@kgcproductions1462 Are we really counting mark ups now vs no mark up on the mustang? It’s a fully loaded M4, probably 80k. The mustang msrp fully loaded is probably close to 50k (apples to apples you have to fully load both to compare). It’s not that big of a gap when you’re realistic. The m4 is not 100k. Plenty of people are locking in msrp on M4’s (75-80k) no markups if you order new and wait for it. Technically the gap is around 25-30k.

Probably cause he started the roll races in manual mode and doesn’t know how to put his car back in S right away for the best shifts. You can tell he needs a ton more seat time, that’s ok we were all there once.
