There's another link between those two scenes: in Days of Thunder, when Tom Cruise's car get's bumped, Robert Duvall says "Rubbin', son, is racing." Yet in Rush, almost the same thing causes both cars to spin out. How can you say "rubbing is racing" after that? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Those indycar crashes no lie made me so pissed off. Not just because of the physics but just because it’s so obvious that the crashes were shot at multiple locations. It’s like they didn’t even try to make it look like one race.

The driven crash at the Germany (The river) is kind of exaggerated. He flies up, which I can understand. But when the car hits him, wouldn't be spin the other way?

Not only that, but also there are multiple cars flying past under him at seemingly normal high speeds, whereas he's still in the air in slow motion. To add to that, when he flips after getting hit by one of the cars, his car goes into the infield, but is suppose to stop after a couple of flips due to the car digging it's rear and front in the dirt, but for some reason, his car bursts into flames MID AIR, gains more momentum and altitude, and somehow ends up in the small pond. Noticed racing movies tend to exaggerate crashes a lot than they are supposed to, but Talladega Nights can pass, since it's a comedy that's self-aware.

Nah. Driven had the most worst crashes. Not to mention, one of the crashes involves a tire flying into the stands, which should have been cut because of the 1998 C.A.R.T. US 500 and 1999 IRL Visionare 500K tragedies that involved spectators and tires.
