@@gavinreidy130 is a great, what are you smoking? Roaring Lion, Ghaiyyath, Pinatubo and Almanzor are just a few horses who have achieved over that rating in the past few years, if you consider any of those a great then you must have very low standards.

@@frankelforever14 horses do progress, peakand regress at different rates and ages. th day they achived a 130 was probbaly a great performance. but then im an old time form type guy ;)

A 'great ' horse was trained at Ballydoyle once by anothet great when Vincent O:Brien had the triple crown winner Nijinsky

Lester was a shrewd enough judge except for Pebbles V Katies he got that one wrong that's another story, it should be noted he always put Sir Ivor on Top even ahead of Nijinsky Lester felt Sir Ivor had more speed and was the Greatest horse he ever rode

Few of you idiots say. Hes got to improve 20lds to be up with Frankel. Frankel had far more experience the COT hes still very green Frankel didn't run the race on very soft ground. Plus he never one at a mile and a half. Give this horse good or good to firm ground and you will see a different horse he does have lots of speed and a big stride and engine. Can't wait to see him again

Ground was very soft and agree city of Troy prefers quick ground unlike the second who likes it soft ? Not sure City of Troy would beat Ghostwriter by 10 on quick ground though .

City Of Troy may well improve on better ground. But on Timeform ratings needs to improve 20 lb to be up with Frankel. Currently only ties with Augustus Rodin as the second best horse in his Ballydoyle yard. Albeit COT has the "p" for improvement expected.

City of troy, is a very good horse but he still has ALOT to prove too be considered anywhere near a great. One thing that really really really annoyed me is o Brien saying justify horses are like Galileo's with more class🧐 seriously its that is the stupidest nonsense ive ever heard. Its not possible for a thoroughbred too be classier better looking or more genuine than a Galileo, he is the standard bearer that the breed is measured off, his bloodline is the best in evolution, although being dead 3 years his horses are still winning group 1s, i don't need to mention sons and daughters of Galileo the list is too long. But for what he done for ballydoyle and o Brien to say such rubbish turned me off him a great deal. Gaillello is king and their will never be another EVER.

Timeform have given City of Troy the lowest Eclipse winner rating this century, time is running out for him to prove he is the 130+ horse that so many are adamant that he is. Hopefully the Juddmonte attracts a better field that Saturdays one. Maybe connections should go to the King George instead to try exalt his rating like it did for Harbinger.

@@frankelforever14 He's a very sad individual, as for City Of Troy, time isn't on his side, if he doesn't get the good ground he's supposed to like, he's going to be in trouble, he got lucky on Saturday that White Birch didn't turn up,taking nothing away from Al Riffa when likes to soft and might have improved with his cheekpieces? But on paper he's no champion and yet he got within a length of the winner.

Just keep it calm like Cecil did with Frankel and let them do the talking on the track. Without the hype City of Troy would be a decent enough Derby winner who is in some very good company by following up in the same year's Eclipse.

@@frankelforever14 The thing that I don't like is there arrogance, they keep talking three races in advance as it they have already won those races before it, I also thought that Moore's comment about winning by 10 lengths was not sporting and somewhat derogatory of the horses who made him work for his win, they should have kept quiet with their "new Frankel" claim until after the horse had proved himself to be mentioned in the same sentence, as you correctly say, they should just let the horse do the talking.

The Magnier's desperately want a Frankel or a Sea The Stars. But you can't just conjure one up. City Of Troy is a very good horse, however, words are not going to magic him into one of the greats

So very true, Aidan has a long history of saying this is the best we have had or something similar and some have turned out to be big flops. Most people have learned to take his words with a pinch of salt knowing they are for promotional purposes but there are still a few simple minded people on here that haven't the IQ to realise this. City of Troy has one, maybe two races left to prove himself worthy of being a 130+ horse never mind a 140+ horse.

@@theLowestPointInMyLife I think city of Troy is gonna win a fast ground group 1 by 5 lengths or more when he gets he's right conditions like at Epsom he didn't even get into full stride was only getting going crossing the line we haven't seen the bottom of city of Troy done well to win on proper soft Sandown ground he clearly hated will be 10+ lengths better on fast

City of Troy looked like he needed 1 mile 4 at 2 years old. He would win the ledger by 10 lengths but winning the ledger doesn’t really do much for him. Stick to a mile and a half. Even 1 mile 2 is too short

@@MichaelC3974 Auguste should only be running over 10f, City of Troy 12f but they are desperate for City of Troy to win over 10f on dirt so will persist with the shorter trip for him. Personally I don't think he has the tactical speed for the BC classic but they could take the Leger easily with him and then go for the Arc especially if the going has good mentioned in it.
