blacks didn't help the black girl or the blonde girl but white people are helping the blonde girl and left the black one who is rascist, infact I noticed that people who are helping the blonde girl looks like Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or Latins the same people who shipped Africans as slaves in the past

That should tell you they’re not biased because they helped neither child! The white pol on the other hand helped just the white girl which in reality is the saddest of them all because you have to help ppl regardless of whatever they have in common with you! They didn’t help the Black girl because she’s not white like they are and this shows racism more. The black ppl may not have approached for fear of being incarcerated and maybe her mom lurking around somewhere saying “whatchu talkin to my child for “ .

Use your brain!Think outside the box ! This tells a more broad story, you’re racist either knowingly or unknowingly so you didn’t catch it! If a Black man were to approach either girls he would be accused of kidnapping them! Black women wont approach the black child because they’re mother might be lurking somewhere and pull up saying “whatchu talking to my child for”! If a black woman also approached a black child Karen’s will accuse her of racism ! That’s the wider picture ! Think before you type!

What we have: - The black girl is not that much taller, the camera is just more zoomed in on her. - Her pose is almost identical to that of the white girl. - People of any race not approaching the girl can be chalked up to the general business of the street. But only white people flocked to the white girl as possibly in need of help. That says a lot more about how white people are tuned to help their own color. Whether that is good or bad, I'd have to learn more about experiment. But hardly does what we see excuse white people or brand black people as more racist.

@@innertubez she is still a kid. You are doing what everybody does if not making kids of different races be now less vulnerable because they appear to be older . She is still a kid she don't pass 6 or 8 years old now she is less appealing to be lost and helped? Naa. Read a little about the spectrum of oversexualize black woman in a younger age vs other races and the danger and less care they get because of that. It's the same with the problem of black people in hospital getting mistreated because they appear to be stronger . So they don't get medication or care others do.

A couple of points here. 1. This appears to be in Latin America, blond hair stands out a lot more than brown hair so it draws more attention, and seeing a small blond child that looks like a foreigner makes you instantly think she might be lost. 2. Not a single person of color stopped for either girl. It is actually quite common for young kids to be alone on the streets in many countries and this girl probably looked local so didn’t alarm anybody. Context is super important, don’t jump to conclusions without knowing any of the details. Not saying racism doesn’t exist because of cause it does, just saying you tend to find what you are setting out to see, whether it’s there or not.

This treatment can be seen in schools. Children begin internalizing self-worth, confidence, etc at a very early age. They then project it out. Watch the confidence of a dark or tan girl in a social environment and then watch the confidence of a girl with fair skin and blonde/ light hair. Its important to tell your child, they are important, beautiful, and loved but It's important not to compare though.

Neither child looked like they needed help. African Americans tend to mind their own business: unless a child is showing actual signs of distress, we don't assume a momentary lack of adult in close proximity means the child is lost or in need of any sort. Do you know what kids do when they are lost or distressed? They look around frantically, trying to see where their parents are. Or they cry. At the very least, they hang their heads and look dejected. Watch the video again. NEITHER CHILD SHOWS ANY OF THESE SIGNS.

I'm sorry but it does? Sure it's not bigotry, however the society we live is built off preconceived notions of race, that impacts everyone no matter if you're black or white. Sure both white and black people ignored the girl, but why do you think that is? Why do they collectively assume one girl needs help but not the other? It's a failing of society that by definition, is racist. Edit: that being said the video could've been edited so we don't know the full extent.

Not one of my friends or those with whom they shared it was surprised. Not a single citizen of those countries was surprised. Of course my American expat friend in this cities/countries laughed and said, "Well, yeah," while some other countries' citizens asked me, "What's the part you wanted to show me?"" thinking there was a surprise in there somewhere; thinking the racist part, the really American part, was still to come. I know this is a social test, but unfortunately it's pretty accurate. Unfortunately though, in the cities, it's very uncommon for little Caucasian and Asian girls to be seen alone, hence why people are often quick to act. For little darker skin girls though, too many times their parents often let them wondering alone, so the public automatically comes to the conclusion that they are ether With or Waiting for someone, if not, their parents clearly don't care. Another real example was when my 2nd brother, at thr time he was 4 years old(now 29yrs) decided to sneek off to the park without telling anyone. The whole damn neighborhood(and Cops) was looking for him, while my mother went into shock, and I was still at school, so I didn't know anything till later. They found him at the playground, still playing. About 20+ years later, my Hispanic(Ecuadorians) neighbors had a similar incident where their daugther walked off their property and made her way to the Dollar Store. The neighborhood was round up, but nobody actually put in the effort, because those kids are always running around the area unattended, and again, I wasn't home when all this transpired.

This is actually a very specific type of racism. Most of the time black children are definitely seen as more mature than they actually are. As a result people are less likely to system even though they are children just like their counterparts. Regardless of how much older you thought that first child was there's no way that that child appear to be more than nine years old. I would never ignore a child that seems to be alone that's under the age of 12. Infected my personal life I have approached even older looking teenagers if they seemed to be lost to out-of-sorts. Also this specific type of racism is one of the reasons that black children have such a tough time in the school systems in the United States as well. And just to be clear, it's not about the persons who are seeing them in a certain way being a specific race. Cause this is something that's very systemic and institutionalized all people tend to have this reaction when it comes to black children. it's not just like a white thing or non black thing

If nothing else it does say something about privilege. I've met more than one blonde good-looking person, male or female who get all the attention and all the benefit of the doubt in any situation and then think everyone else can do the same. Understanding privilege is understanding not everyone gets the same experience and some of it is out of their control. As a below average height brown hair brown eyed white appearing male I can blend in and fly under the radar very easily, which I appreciate in some situations. In some situations that can be a privilege. It's really just about empathy and not blame for others situations and experiences.

I was at the park. I had my best friend's daughter on the swing set while Mom was watching her boys practice football. (We're all white.) Little black girl, about 8, was caught up in a tree. She was crying, screaming for her Mom who was talking to another Mother, not paying any attention to her daughter. After looking at the mother and realizing she was going to be no help I asked, what's the matter little girl, do you need some help? I don't remember, but she must have said yes. I reached up, put her knee in my hand and pushed up to free her from the branches that had trapped her knee and set her on the ground. She then ran off to her mother. One act of kindness. That's all it takes.

30 years ago, our church youth group went to Mexico to minister to the poor people in a small town. They gave out food, clothes and preached the gospel to the poor. They were moved the number of children living in poverty that they decided to smuggle some of them in the church buses back to the US. They took pictures while they were there and I noticed a few of the children looked white. When the youth group came back to the US, I noticed that they only smuggled the children who looked white and left the dark skinned children behind. It was clear to me that there is racism even in Christian churches.

Sounds like there's international kidnaping condoned in some 'Christian' churches. Poor families love their children too, and are just as devastated as you fake "Christians'' would be. If you have information about when & where these children were abducted, or their current location or of the abductors, you should contact the FBI's closest field office! Even at this late date there are many who deserve to at least know their children are alive and children who would like to reconnect with their original families!
@darwinmendoza7061
@darwinmendoza7061 Жыл бұрын
It would be if they took the kids without their parents' permission. It was actually the kids' parents who begged them to take their kids to the US so some American family can adopt and raise them. Obviously our youth group wanted only kids who can 'blend in' with 'American' families.
