I bought one ages ago, had the same’ put it over a chronograph and power was up and down, sent it back sorted in two days. Spot on ever since, pellet on pellet, was a small leak in one of the rubbers. Great gun

I have the Mk1 and what I found after a time will illness and my rifle just sat there for 12 months. I was getting very similar to you and this is how I sorted it 1 clean the barrel this closed the gap massively but still not pellet on pellet 2 test a number of pellets 15 in total I shoot in .177 and found the jsb exact heavy was all in a 7mm square pellet on pellet I tested at 25 yards and then 35 yards and I have found my pellet I am not saying these pellets will work with your gun but you must find the right one to get pellet on pellet I have not shot the mk2 but I can not see it being different from the above I hope this helps James

I had an FAC .22 Impact shooting at 35ftlbs. A lovely rifle. You had to tune it and as a powder burner, a steep learning curve for me. The JSB's 5.52 18.13gn pellets by batch, were a revelation. 100yds on rabbits was never an issue. In fact, for me, it made the .22lr instantly obsolete because you could use it where the 22lr was simply not safe due to ricochet issues. There is a vast amount of tuning info now on YT for these guns. It does make a difference if you take the time to do it. I'm not sure the sub 12ftlbs version is a good choice because it is not in the rifles sweet spot. I sold it to a mate and it's still in use for vermin on his farm today. He loves it. I'm now looking at the Delta Wolf, or an Impact MK2 in cals .25 and.22, some hard choices to make.

Great honest review, I’ve had a few fx rifles including impacts and to be honest I’ve not had one that’s been particularly accurate! They haven’t been shocking but nowhere near my hw100, r10 and daystate renegade which are all cheaper than the impact. One thing I can say is the fx mags can damage skirts if not careful

You need to clean clean. Clean. And clean again the barrel liners. 👍from new.

Very nice and honest review 👌 I had the same issue with my gun and I found that the pellets were clipping the end of the moderator and there was 2 Very small dents at the end of the barrel liner. I gently removed the tiny dents of the liner and removed the moderator and the rifle shoots really good now. I'm not saying you have the same problem but worth checking the moderator for any signs of pellet marks and the liner for any damage. I like honest reviews so i have subscribed to your channel 😁👍

I bought a fx dreamline classic in. 177 new and no matter what pellet i used it would not group , got that fed up with it swapped it for a air arms ultimate sporter in. 177 best thing ive ever done the ultimate sporter beats it hands down, buy British, you know it makes sense 😁👍

About time some one stood up and had the balls to question the accuracy of fx guns at 12ft lbs, I’ve watched lot’s and lot’s of reviews and the groups are absolute pants, from what I’ve deduced is that the smooth twist barrel dose not work to its full potential until it is shot at fac levels and even then I have seen much better and that’s without the days worth of tunning to get half decent accuracy (you don’t buy a knew car take it home and tune it to use it what a joke at least there cheap lol 😂😂😂😂😂) I’ve seen the same you tuber put a bsa r 10th pellet on pellet at 40 yards but with a fx mk2 both standard and compact no where near the accuracy, then there’s the leaks and faults why do so many you tubers skip over this part of fx ownership, Well done for being honest probably the best most truthful and representative fx review on KZfaq 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I brought a MK 11 yesterday was told to use JSB pellets but was not happy with them so spent afternoon pellet testing, you maybe surprised to hear the very best for it is the QYS pointed one’s better than domed 😳, pellet on pellet.

I really think FX rifles are designed for high velocity. I’ve never understood sub 12 foot in an adjustable rifle. Want great sub 12 foot accuracy, buy a HW100. 😉

It's really easy to push the 15.89 pellets to fast. Also there's a bed in time on new barrels they'll settle down with some wear. Try some heavier pellets and some barrel cleaning see if you get more favorable results.

Having a fac.25 impact, when I first got mine it was doing the same and I had to clean the barrel. However, if that doesn’t work it may just be that because the guns are made to be FAC and the barrels being the same mean the accuracy suffers for sub 12 ftlbs as twist rates are the same?Just a thought. The impacts are supposed to be fac really to get the most out of them. I can’t wait to see your fac impact review. I’m in the process of buying one. blooming lockdown 🙄. Try some slugs through the fac one. My brother in law has got the fac rated one. After a bit of tinkering (as you do ) we’ve got it shooting slugs great 👍. As for the impact you’ve got there, it’s not a lemon. There’s something not quite right ( obviously).... could be harmonics, could be clipping the moderator, might not be the right velocity for the pellet 🤷‍♂️ did you try adjusting the power wheel during the test with the jsb?

Wow!!! I have heard about them leaking but this is the first time i have seen one group like that. You shouldn't have to clean a new barrel,,, Can FX at least send the new $2000 gun already cleaned? :)

Thermals. (a) were you wearing yours? shivering is not good and (b) sunny day, heat rising off the concrete on your patio/range. I would recommend spending a tidy sum on a good looking air rifle and then getting it tuned for another Prince's ransom (or Harry's ransom. Cheaper now he's self employed). Or buy a Wienrach or Walther. Keep your independence dude, reject the machine, the spirit of Max Headroom lives on (look it up, you might be too young)

TBH there good and I got my MK2 from Livens but choosing the right scope was a mare. Eventually got it right and pellet on pellet at 60mts ☝️ However the magazine is definitely finicky about what pellet to use 🤔. Not a gun to just buy and shoot but it should be at that cost. FX need to step up as there guns are getting more expensive and technical but reliability is pants 🤬. Another great review mate 👍

Hi, Since your a left hand shooter.... Isn't it annoying with stock, magzine and bolt action at wrong side? I'm also a left shooter, and it's not possible to shoot in standing position with a right handed rifle. I use .30-06 (7,62), and need left handed bolt action to reload fast an safe.

I'm thinking to buy fx impact mk2. So I was asking guys at the shooting range about their opinions. They were saying that accuracy of this gun is not pretty good at short distances. It's very disappointing to hear that, gun for over £1600 shouldn't have issues of this kind. Like you you've said Fx should definitely do something to prevent gun from double feeding. It's so easy to forget that gun is cocked. I hate this in my Wildcat MK2.

Cool video! I love my .30 MKII @ 95fpe.

Clean the barrel then put about 600 shots through it. Also check the pellet probe isnt loose. My impact was ok at first but was leading in. The second time I shot it, it was wild. I cleaned it and then found the pellet probe loose. Tightened the probe and then started re leading. It was just starting to shoot 10mm groups after about 600 pellets (25 yards). You might want to thread lock the pellet probe or use some ptfe plumbers tape to stop it coming loose again. Apparently its a thing with Impacts.

I had a Mk2 Impact and the accuracy was pretty damn good to be fair, certainly cloverleafed at 30 yards But, I chopped it in for a HW100 which is on another level accuracy wise and about half the price. Go figure eh....oh and the pellets don’t rattle in the mag on the hw either lol. And yes I know there’s no comparison on shot count before someone says it, but I do use it for hunting.

index the liner and then try tune it 10fps at a time up and down until the rifles harmonics are in tune. and you should start seeing the groups get smaller

The mag can make it shoot crap try single shot loading very fiddly but the accuracy will be there if the accuracy is there then increase the hammer spring as the magazine is damaging the pallets

so, just got my fx impact mk 2 delivered a couple days back and im struggling to find a pellet that does groups this bad. almost everything i put in it has 1 hole groups out to 20 yds, which is as far as ive managed to shoot it upto now because of lockdown. are you sure you didnt swap the gun round with a catapult whilst taking those shots ? 😂 i know another 2 of my friends with the same gun who's also shoot perfect and realy struggle to see where these bad reviews come from. maybe it is because fx are not paying you that you seem to have it in for them. Lets be fair here, if fx impacts were as bad as this review suggests they wouldn't be winning half the competitions they win in bench shooting etc. Your lack of enthusiasm from the start in this review was quite off putting aswel. seemed like you had made your mind up about the gun before you had even shot it but each to there own. im more than happy with mine.

RACKNLOAD looking to do some bird pesting out to 100+ yards. Was going to buy the mk2 till I saw this, which gun do you think would be good? Need it to hit hard and accurate.

Lose barrel screw,pellet prob,lose liner retainer,lose scope rail and the flat rail that runs the length of the will all cause bad groups. And for top dollar air guns these things wouldn't be lose but they sometimes are. Hope you the best because when the impact is operating right they are highly accurate.

imo this gun is more suited to 30 ft pound plus I would rather a daystate

Out of interest what did Livens say?I bought a sub 12 .22 mk2 about 3 months ago.Its been back twice to sportsman guns.Accuracey issues were terrible to start with, magazine was clipping pellets, the reg was creeping so over powering the hammer spring and not letting the valve open long enough giving a weak first shot.Sent it back,got it back and the reg was still crap ..power levels up and down was using the fx crono Btw.Went back a second time ...they replace the amp reg and its working as it should now, albeit really pellet fussy.Like you i tried JSB jumbo exact 15.89 apparently what this gun is tested with,head sizes 5.51 and 5.52 and it shot guns them at 20m.The same with the hades and air arm 16grains.I also bought an eagle vision mag to rule the out mag issues .So far the only pellets i can get it to group with are both JSB RS 13.43 and the express jumbos 14.35 head size 5.52.Accuraccey is much better, also the barrel is so fowled with lead all the time.Obviously i cleaned and cleaned the barrel at the beginning.Also when i first got the gun home from the shop after it had been back for repair the scope rail was lose on 3 of the 4 allen bolts which i feel was totally unacceptable.Unbelievably the second time it came back the trigger guard which also supports my bipod was lose on 2 allen bolts ..and this was after me asking for them to make sure all bolts are torqued correctly.I do love my impact and wish it was as accurate as my hw 100bpk which is a laser beam.

Thanks for a good accurate review, at last someone who’s not part of the FX marketing machine, I have one in .177 as does a friend of mine and there both garbage at 12 ft lb, I’ve noticed with both rifles the pellets felt very glitchy when loading on investigation found the pellets hitting the edge of the barrel liner before it finally pushes into the barrel liner, if you clean the barrel way beyond anything you would with another rifle its slightly better than garbage for a very short time, we both have the latest MKII with the X barrel, look great seem to be well made.................performance in .177 shocking.......you’d be far better of buying a RAW for that sort of money and get true performance. I really want to like this rifle and am no stranger to trouble shooting but I don’t think the barrels are good enough at 12 ft lb

I really want this rifle, as I'm a gadget geek. I still worry that the magazine type they use can damage the pellet. I could be very wrong here.

After so many of your videos none are what I’d call grouping.but you are value for money and this is a free platform.I don’t follow trends either but I found a p15 Artemis outshot my wildcat? So maybe it’s what suits.ever thought of a spud gun?

Could be the scope moving off centre or the silencer catching.

My friend Bill Greathouse who was grabbing with my friend Jim Gaske what barrels Tj for the Warp charges. He is about to barrel for FX. They will be able to shoot pellets and slugs without problems. and more than accurate. TJ barrels price per inch. $ 5.70 Many people start inventing and buying a TJ without giving it the mechanization that the barrel actually needs to be more than accurate. my friend is 100% sure of what he does and is willing to return the money to every customer who is not satisfied with the precision of the TJ. I am going to upload some photos of some shots that I took with my Warp with a TJ barrel of 15 ”inch length at 100m with slug that I made myself at home. 46.2gr. Another one that Tj barrels should know is that the more speed the more precise it is

i got rid of my fx wildcat because it would shoot pretty good one minuit then i could see the pellets via off target at the last second before it hit .

Sub 12ft pound .22 barrel is 50cm, the full power version .22 barrel is 60cm. Are you sure you got the 50cm in it? 60cm on low power doesn't group.

My late mk1 was good ...EVERYONE in my gun club who had a mk2 found this and tried hand it back or sold it on

Make sure the grub screw which holds the barrel at the rear is tightened else the barrel shifts and accuracy is pants. My mate at the local club has one and he is shooting a .22 pellet through a 8mm hole at 40 yards! But he is just a show off!

Must be a lemon mate.I had one myself it was amazingly accurate. I did have the priest air rifle which was rubbish with the same problems you have mentioned poor machining tolerences from the factory my guess.

That for 1600 quid not including goodies is appalling. My BSA scorpion SE does much better with H&N hornets. and that whole set up cost me £1200! Not good to see at all for that money. Quite laughable in fact.

I bought the FX Impact MK2 several months ago. All factory settings with a good new Helix Element scope. Very unaccurate gun. Not sure what the problem is but the groups are terrible at 25 yards. Push it to 70 yards and cant even hit the target. Dial in the scope and the next time its just as bad. Wish I had never bought it because I don't know how to correct it. Any suggestions are welcomed. The accuracy on that rifle is terrible my BSA scorpion se would group pretty much pellet on pellet at 30 yards and that rifle is very much cheaper. Maybe it doesn't like those pellets neil did you try any other brands crossman premiers are pretty nice pellets

its the internal air stripper on the fake 700mm shroud - remove the shroud and all will be good

Then the pellet is spiraling, you will never get any precision. Something is wrong, maybe the magazine or cutting it in moderator. Have you tried singel feed it. Shot in a bucket of water and se what the pellet look like.

My Cosmans with shade tree fitted Lothar Walther barrels do better than that. Can take out starlings at 50 yads.

I am an FX owner. Mine shot better right out of the box with a scope just clamped on.I'm not sure of the reasons for a bad review.

Britans why you buy pcps for 1000 and 1600£ just for shooting at 16jouls? You guys have so many co2 air rifles for less than 200£ with 10ish jouls and they are Damn ACCURATE!! Why paying so many £££ for 16 jouls? For 25m shooting range. This makes no sense 🤦

My FX impact 2 is total crap. Today it broke for the 5th time. I have given up on sending it back. I have spent over $200 on shipping it in for repairs, it arrives broken and I send it again. I almost managed to get it tuned and sighted before it broke this time. These things are shit. That being said my dreamtact has close to 5000 rounds through it and it is flawless. My mk2 was tuned better than this but the side lever pin shears off every 50 -200 shots and noone at utah airguns or fx can fix it, nor will they replace it. I bought it in october and have yet to get a working rifle for more than a few shots. I guess I am just beat for almost 4k with barrels, liners and addons. I am just out the money and they don't really give a shit. I TALKED ABOUT THIS ON THE FX KZfaq CHANNEL AND THEY THREATENED TO BAN ME. I fucking hate FX.
