He has more than usual in fact because Blaze and Gary have the day off. One tip right here: don't try this one with the Power Glove (it's so (unironically) bad).

Rad Racer is a 1987 racing title from Square/Squaresoft. Despite being Square's best selling title for the NES, Square was facing potential bankruptcy that year. It was their RPG hit which spawned a mega hit franchise in Final Fantasy which kept the company afloat.
A sequel to Rad Racer was released a few years later, though it didn't enjoy the same sales or praise as it seemed that Square had put together a winning combination with this 1987 racing title for the NES - the definitive racing title for the NES if you ask us here at Video Games 101!

When I got my NES for Christmas 1987, Santa also gave me Castlevania and Rad Racer. I played Castlevania 90% of the time because I found Rad Racer completely impossible. But I loved the music so much, and it WAS a fairly smooth experience compared to other racing games. I later traded my Rad Racer, in the box with the 3D glasses and manual, straight up for one of those special editions of Resident Evil 4 for the PS2, in the metal case.

I just found your channel. I had this game as a kid. I got to the last level of the game but couldn't beat it. I didn't know that you could continue from where you left off at until I watched this video.

I got this game for Christmas back in 1993. It was very difficult because I kept running out of time before reaching the next checkpoint.

I don't think I ever got past the 5th stage as a kid. I might be persuaded to give it another shot now, however! Good run!

Micro Machines! Did that on Let's Burn recently and that's a tough one. Track knowledge is a must for that one.

I never beat the last level as a kid. I might give it another try after watching this video. I haven't played this game in over 20 years. I remember it hurting my wrist and thumb when I was a kid.
