Raden is quickly becoming one of my favourite VTubers for stuff like this and her art knowledge. A genuinely interesting character.

I really like what Raden is doing. To me, it feels like she's treading outside the beaten path of Vtubing. She's talking about art culture and history in a direct and approachable manner. I think that's important.

There have been other academic-themed VTubers, but few of them actually did much informative content. I hope JFT sticks to her guns and doesn't just fall back on zatsudan/karaoke/game streams.

Raden is really good at explaining things. She gave a great example on the spot of the importance of cultural preservation in a way that every viewer would understand by using a really relatable example to everyone. That's a super important thing when teaching hard concepts and she did it so easily

You know this is why owning physical copies of media is still pretty important in this digital age. You never know when things just get deleted from the internet, intentional or not.

The thing that makes Raden-chan so great is she's rough around the edges with her bad financial habits, smoking, gambling but also very intelligent and you can feel her passion for all things art. That's why she so likeable, definitely one of my favourite JP members

I think even now her channel actually become more and more important too because of her art topic that extremely rare in vtuber world and many art museum and book love her and even sponsor her already. If her exitant suddenly gone with all the clips, it's really hard to image about her for people who don't know whose Reden is

You should probably make the thumbnail text red to be more like "You Died" rather than the yellow victory text since that's usually used for good outcomes.

You want an excellent example of the importance of perserving art, look no further than the film Nosferatu. If I spoke Japanese enough by now, I'd totally ask Raden to talk about its history someday.

Languages constantly change, people can die, knowledge can be lost, and things can be forgotten. Sometimes physical items are the simplest way to document history.

Raden's example got through for just about every VTuber fan out there who's seen that happen, even if things were on relatively good terms. But this is why I like JFT. She's got such a good way with explaining things and really has an appreciation for the arts and culture.

That's practiced heavily by japanese gaming companies, especially Nintendo and Sony. Thousands of games from the late 80s til 2010s gone over night. So sad. More gaming companies should preserve their gaming libraries.

@@tcrime Yes, but a growing trend these days is that human culture is owned by someone and increasingly hard to access for the average person. If you go back a few years, libraries and museums preserved culture and made it accessible. Nowadays it is in the interest of the company who owns game/movie/music IP to make that IP inaccessible before it becomes public domain. Because public domain is in direct competition with whatever new things they want to sell. We are losing significant portions of our cultural history because of this.
@tcrime
@tcrime 7 ай бұрын
@@PropaneWP That's true, of course. I've always thought it was strange that these companies don't try to do more with their huge archives, particularly now that things like "retro gaming" have become so popular. In terms of preserving game software stuff so that it's accessible to the public, it looks like pirates are probably going to be the best we get. If you want to feel really sad about this topic, have a read about what was destroyed in the 2008 Universal fire.

Makes me wonder if someday we will get the internet archive being able to post the video archives people have of deleted vtuber channels. Seems like it would eventually come in line with other cases where they have been able to do so before copyright expires. As my understanding is that a lot of the reason they delete channels is because some part of the IP is shared between the company and the talent, meaning that without the business relationship it can be difficult to keep the content up. If no one can easily use the IP for profit, they may as well let a third party archive it.

It's actually very sad that vtubers have no rights on their characters. As we saw with certain other company, people can get fired almost instantly for any reason. And all the work vtubers, artists, model creators put into the character goes to waste

As much as I can appreciate wanting to preserve the current brand by erasing anything from official channels, I think there should be an effort to leave game archives, music, and asmr content intact for fans of former talents whether they were disgraced or not. Those are still memories people made and it's not right to delete them in totality

dude.. this actually kind of makes sense especially if you relate it to the termination of rushia. (i know most of the people in the fan base likes to pretend they don't know her or something) but it is actually happening now that there is new people in the community that does not have any idea who she actually is. and this just proves how important preservation is.
@AUM_-po9sc
@AUM_-po9sc 7 ай бұрын
And Rushia's archive exists, by the way, people said that they saved most or even all the stuff. Unfortunately, it's getting purged from the internet from time to time, so it's not easy to show people who was Rushia actually.

"i know most of the people in the fan base likes to pretend they don't know her or something" I have a feeling it's less that and more like many new fans coming in have never seen Rushia, and thus they don't know who she was. AFAIK most Hololive fans who knew of Rushia before her termination still acknowledge her to this day.
@Feroce
@Feroce 7 ай бұрын
@@StrikeNoir105E That is the real answer. Hololive grows quickly and there are so many who don't know the lore or who jump on tired memes when its tactless to do so. Everyone who's known her doesn't have a reason to deny her. She left a definite impact with her presence.
