This is THE best song ever, ever, and ever... Loved it when it came out, still adoring it now. When you hear/watch covers, they always do weird stuff to their voices to sound like Mr. Isaac, but it's never the same. Cover it, don't imitate it, doesn't work, his voice is one of a kind. Did I mention I love this song?

Corey Taylor does it justice in his own way, with his own voice. Probably the only person who's done it properly. But Isaak still is the best, obviously. The twang' can't be immitated. .

I worked years as a Bylaw Enforcement Officer and was called many times over the years to bands playing in backyards. I never shut one down because I always thought of the great music we missed that never made radio play when I was a kid. I'd hang out for a while and listen then ask them to turn it down just a little. I could spend all day in this backyard listening to Nick Stone and the Shifty Hunchbacks.

Me too and I agree, but this song wasn't a hit until late 1990/early 1991. Being in Wild at Heart brought it to the forefront. I was working in a record store and it was quite a contrast to all the grunge and hip hop that was exploding at the time.

Simply the BEST sound mixing I’ve heard on a live band ,you can hear every individual instrument which absolutely makes a difference instead of a ‘wall of sound’ …great song by a great artist accompanied by great musicians
@chrispyle2942 Жыл бұрын
Im not gonna sit here and let you slander the Wall of Sound and by extension the late great Owsley Stanley. Aka Bear, the mad scientist, audio technician and LSD chemist that rolled with the Grateful dead in the 60's and 70's. He may have been in jail for the creation of the Wall of Sound. But his work was certainly the inspiration, and the result was the loudest and clearest sound mix ever produced at a live event. Then a few years later advancements in audio tech made it outdated and the wall came down.
@craigschepers714 Жыл бұрын
simple is the best .this is a period piece ..adds to the stark reality ..beautifully done
@markphipps985 Жыл бұрын
I wasn’t referring to that ,I simply meant that when a mix isn’t done properly,all you hear is a garbled mess leading to a ‘wall of sound’ from which you can’t distinguish who’s playing what etc ….sorry for any confusion caused 👍

I found this song back then when I was going through very difficult time, my mother past away and I had guilt to not being a good son, the same time my Ex left me, this song was the only way for me to cry, because no matter what I do my tears never come out, I'm very hard hearted man I never cry but,,, That time I need to cry and I was alone and I needed to help my self I needed to let out all the pain,, this song was such and excellent medicine for me, everytime when I heard this song my heart just melt, So thank you so much for posting this and thank you for the singer I don't even know his name for singing this excellent song,, I also want to say that life is cruel and sometime thing never change, we hope things will be okay but that never happens you stay alone you stay being treated like shit,, in the end we have to accept that some of us people are not lucky enough to have people in our life who care about us, some of just have to accept that not matter how much we give and how much we love and care and sacrifice but in the end no one care,,,💔
