Imagine F1 with 605 kg cars again

@@Amin-dd9mk yep. Quite literally the hybrid system is the only thing preventing that. But over the last month or so theres been a lot of discussion about NA V10s on biofuels, even from people who work in F1

@@R9naldo V10s are less reliable though. I expect the cost to go up and less teams will be on the grid of this happens.

It’s not because of the hybrid systems. Those take up more space, but the overall size is more about safety and the FIA just learning towards larger cars that give more room for aerodynamic design flexibility, biasing towards high speed stability and low turbulence. I love the v10 sound as well. I literally have an f1 v10 connecting rod desk weight. But they’re unreliable, heavy, inefficient and much slower engines. Everyone needs to stop bucketing everything they don’t like about f1 because of “eco stuff.” The new power trains are in another league.
