Encanto is a 2021 American computer-animated musical fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The 60th film produced by the studio.
At the 94th Academy Awards, the film has been nominated for Best Animated Feature, while its score and track "Dos Oruguitas" contend for Best Original Score and Best Original Song, respectively. This is the music video which differs from We Don't Talk About Bruno (From "Encanto"/Lyric Video) and Various Artists - We Don't Talk About Bruno (In 21 Languages) (From "Encanto").

It wasn’t that Lin thought Dos Oruguitas (the song submitted to the Oscars) thought it would be a bigger hit, it’s that he believed that the song better encapsulated the message Encanto was trying to deliver.

I’d definitely recommend some more of the Encanto songs. I’m personally fond of Waiting on a Miracle, and Surface Pressure.

I have a baby sibling that absolutely loves the songs. It doesn’t matter what song is on, she’ll listen to any song in the movie and whenever it finishes, she sometimes starts crying. It’s one of the only things that will get her to keep quiet too.

A tad of context from the movie is that bruno had the power to see the future and would often give bad prophecies causing him to be looked down on. Eventually he disappears and the green glass the main girl looks at at the end of the song was his last vision.

This song is a frickin BOP, all of the different parts, each individual having their own unique flair of singing, ahhh it's so good!! If you love this, you'll love Surface Pressure, it's an amazing song! If you want some more context on all of the characters, you should react to The Family Madrigal.

Disney had to submit a song for the Oscars before the movie even came out since the deadline was Nov. 15, and their policy is not to submit more than one song per movie to prevent vote splitting, so Lin-Manuel Miranda ended up choosing Dos Oruguitas because he felt it "best exemplified the spirit of the movie". There's no way he could've known that "Bruno" would be a chart-topping hit.

Fun fact: when everyone is singing together with all of them singing different lyrics that has a name for it actually. It’s called a a Madrigal! A Madrigal is a secular part song without instrumental accompaniment, usually for four to six voices, making abundant use of contrapuntal imitation

In case you have't seen the movie already, which i would recommend you do, Bruno later ventures the opinion that people who get supposedly negative prophecies tend to blame the messenger, even though he didn't actually cause anything to happen. By the way, layering different melodies, as in the second half of the song, is a Renaissance song-form called a 'madrigal'.. Lin-Manuel Miranda is playing a musical joke here, as the name of the movie family is Madrigal. The whole song is classic misdirection.

I hope you've seen Encanto since you put out this video. It's a great movie, and if you're from a large family, parts of it really hit home. And "We Don't Talk About Bruno" is catchy as hell, but I personally prefer "Surface Pressure".

SPOILERS That at the end was one of Bruno’s visions ( he can see the future) and she is trying to Figur out what is hurting the magic of the family . And yeah Bruno is misunderstood he’s actually really sweet kinda awkward ( that’s an understatement) but he didn’t mean any harm ever . Also there isn’t an actual villain per say f anything it’s the grandma but yeah

Spoilers Abuela is more like an antagonist than a villain, as you said theres no villain, abuela fits more to a antagonist till the end(an antagonist means that the antagonist opposes to the protagonist meaning they can still be a good guy but still dislike the main character)
