I've posted this in the other video in this install series, so for interest (and hijacking the top comment). Having just done this, my advice is: 1) First thread the wire loop thing that controls the heater temperature back to where it needs to go (if you stupidly pulled it all the way through, like I did). Make sure it goes through the hole nearest the centre of the cear, if you go for the 'easy' outside one (closest to the driver footwell), you won't be able to clip the plastic bit back in. 2) Next, yank the blower direction peg so that the the other end just comes out of its socket (mine was green). It's buried in the car, just to the rear-right of the radio. The socket will likely be a bit greasy. It's just a press fit. Pull out your radio so that you can shove a hand into the hole - obviously leave the wiring intact. Or if you install your radio into the bottom DIN rail, you can leave it. 3) Plug the peg into the back of the dial, it's a polarised connector so you need to keep pushing while rotating the dial until it goes in. Push hard while you turn. While you're doing this, ensure that the other end is near its hole - so you'll need to hold the fascia quite close to the body of the car. I found it had to be almost perfectly straight before it would go in. 4) Once the front peg is in, slowly push the fascia in so it's just touching the body of the car. You should leave enough clearance to slot your radio back in, if you removed it. Reach in and push the other end of the blower direction connector back into its hole. The flexible shaft is quite springy, so it should jump into the socket once you've got it located correctly. Verify that everything is working by turning the dial, you should hear vents open/close in the various positions. 5) Slot the radio/blanking plate back in. 6) Hook on the wire loop thing and plug in the plastic 7) Redo the bazillion screws. The key is plugging the peg into the dial before you put the fascia back. It won't just go in by itself. I'm not sure whether this guarantees that the selection is correct once you put it back though (are both ends polarised?). At least on mine the settings do seem to be correct after reinstalling.

watch again in 3:02-3:03 and turn the air flow cable exactly the same and after that, you should select the button just like in the video 3:19-3:20 it s on the right not the A.C and will fit in. Sorry for my english if you need help or advices just send me a message.

+Liz Mackin I'm sure you've fixed it by now but a response to help others :) The plug will only go into the socket one way so you need to rotate the dial to match how the plug is sitting as close as possible so it's easier to get in when you put the fascia back on. When you put the fascia on, you need to get it in as close while still being able to put your hand in there and guide/force the plug into the control unit. Once you get the plug in (this takes forever) you can put the panel all the way in. Make sure that the heater control wire is also in the right place as per the video.

+Ludovico Pavesi The power of new units is the power rating of the output, not the input. Eg. 4x30w means it will run 4 speakers at 30 watts. Pretty much all head units will work in any modern car as they have similar power systems to run accessories like a stereo.

Andy Hosker isit a kenwood? They usually have a blue and yellow striped wire. If so you need to connect it to key 1 on the harness patch lead. And if its a connects 2 multilead. Key 1 and remove/cut the orange and green loops
