My childhood radio was manufactured in the 70s in Baku, Azeybardzhab on the shores of Caspian Sea. It was called Hazar-402. It costed 30 Soviet rubles to my dad back in Ukraine. I was listening to Voice of America between 2am and 4am. Soviet KJB was jamming the signal all the time.

This radio was also marked as a Robert's radio. I have one and I had to replace the speaker. It's still working today. Great radio.

After watching this video a couple of weeks ago, I dug out my old DX 398 to see if could be saved but then I remembered that I tried some stupid tuning hack on it and pretty much bricked it. I thought I would go on Ebay and find a parts radio. Well, after making an offer and being the only bidder I got it for $60.00 with shipping! Turns out it is almost mint with case and Manual incl. All of the the other offers on Ebay are over $100.00 or more. I think I got a hell of a deal. Works like new!
