Yes, bc a large part of the collective society has taught that you are to stuff your emotions, mostly men, but that's a mistake no matter your gender bc stuffing gives eventual rise to anger, anger can explode into misery and destruction for all in their path. There is nothing weak about expressing how one feels, it's created within to be softly released - it's for self growth. The innocent will continue to pay the price if we do not shift, raise the level of awareness. The ego doesn't count, that is only portraying how one wishes to be seen - it's false. The self is actually who you truthfully are, who the ego stands in front of. The mind believes what you tell it, even if it's all lies. Be true to self - it's a lot less trouble and confusion to have to sort out later.

A lot of vocalists sound very different/worse when they perform a song live. But every live version of Creep I have heard has been excellent, even the extreme, drawn out notes near the end. The fact he turned it into one big long note in this performance amazes me. Thom Yorke is awesome.

Henry, I agree. The 90s were the last decade where new sounds happened. Since then we're basically just restating the same sounds and becoming more formulaic, more money-making. The 90s there was bands with new sounds, like Pearl Jam, Radiohead, R.E.M., A Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang Clan.. Since then I can't think of fresh new original things in music, certainly not in the mainstream.

It doesnt take a genius to see that this song has a really deep connection to the singer. He has felt every bit of every lyric of this song.

I'm pretty sure Thom and the rest of the band hate this song now lol

@@bacterialover only because it's still their most famous song by a mile inspite of having made groundbreaking records. Ofcourse they hate it.

Nirvana is called 90s bands fucking kid, but overall they are sort of 80s, if you followed them since day 1. Cause their name wasnt nirvana to start off. and that was in 85

He was sleep walking through the first part of the song (slurring notes, etc), which really made that crescendo stand out all the more: Its funny how he's holding his neck like its about to burst :D

The 90s. The hangover of the 80’s. We were disillusioned about societal norms. We rebelled against convention. Later on, as we grew into adults, we pushed for big social changes and we parented our kids differently, with love instead of fear. That rebellious spirit lives on! Proud to have been a teen of the 90’s.
