For gear junkies, this is an interesting find, before the theft of these instruments in 1995. Colin's not just without his iconic Olympic White P-bass, but he's not even on a fender. Thom's on a telecaster, and he never plays one now. Jonny's first sunburst telecaster here is very similar to the one he's been on since.

One reason Radiohead has moved ahead of the Beatles on my list of favorite bands is that they managed to combine incredibly sophisticated songwriting with a killer live act. I still don’t really know how they pull it off with some songs, like Paranoid Android, that is so dense but can be recreated by just those five blokes. But this is just great rock and roll.
@eddielasowsky77772 жыл бұрын
That's just a matter of technology. They never came close to the variety the Beatles produced even though they've been at it for 30 years.
@dibdab1012 жыл бұрын
@@eddielasowsky7777 i wouldn't be so sure about that....and i am a big beatles fan. The beatles had much more of a blank canvas, but in terms of creativity Radiohead are up there with them....And they are awsome live, nothing to do with technology. I have seen Thom and Jonny live with just 2 guitars and they were utterly briilliant.

That's how it's done !! Real talent !! The band that set the bar so high that nobody has ever even come close to equalling them. Saw them play in Galway Ireland 🇮🇪 in the early 90ts ever since been a huge fan.

I was at that gig! At the time, it was by far the biggest show they had ever played. Apparently they were really nervous beforehand..
@MrCptbagger2 жыл бұрын
@@FlameFlickers Wow did not know that. Since then they've captured the world, but still remain in my top 3 of all time. I've seen them several times since but they had a rawness that's rarely seen these days, acts are polished to a mirror finish now so's that nothing of the original band remain, but not Radiohead a pureness that sets them apart from the nonsense that served up today as entertainment. Keep supporting live music my friend 🇮🇪

Have they all got the bends? Am I really sinking this low? [Chorus] My baby's got the bends, oh no We don't have any real friends No, no, no [Post-Chorus] Just lying in a bar with my drip feed on Talking to my girlfriend, waiting for something to happen I wish it was the '60s, I wish we could be happy I wish, I wish, I wish that something would happen [Verse 3] Where do we go from here? The planet is a gunboat in a sea of fear And where are you? They brought in the CIA The tanks and the whole marines To blow me away, to blow me sky high [Chorus] My baby's got the bends We don't have any real friends [Post-Chorus] Just lying in a bar with my drip feed on Talking to my girlfriend, waiting for something to happen I wish it was the '60s, I wish we could be happy I wish, I wish, I wish that something would...
