I was on the railing and as soon as the first notes started I just lost it and then he looked down and made that face at me and it was such a heart warming moment, I was beaming and my friends were bugging out. Hey Josh, I'm in the same boat as you, I've seen them 5 times in the Boston area and have been a fan since 94' my wife appreciates them but she's more of an 80's hair band type. So a couple years ago I took her to see them and they pulled out Let Down! I was loving it, and after the show she couldn't believe how great of a show it was. We've seen some concerts together. Rusted Root, Bruce Hornsby, Andrew Bird (6 times) but this was a totally different experience for her.

I have listened to Rusted Root in years. I bet it's been the 20 years. I absolutely loved that band in the mid 90s. I got to see them live. If I remember correctly they opened for Santana. I might have to see if I still dig their music. Thinking about it now, and I don't think I will like it near as much. But thanks for mentioning them. And hopefully 1 day I'm able to see Radiohead live. One of a few bands I have to see before I die. ✌️

On the studio version it’s there too, but it stands out so clearly here that I imagined it as the person who’s been crushed, and suddenly they start to move, finding the slightest of wills to go on, as they know they are finally going to grow wings and fly away from the horror they’ve experienced.

Most prestine, ethereal, beautiful, and creative band you can find.. Like ever. You can listen their songs infenitely and never get bored, they are that good. I have 2 years listening to them. And im not planning to listen something else at least as consistently as Radiohead in the future. They are just in a whole another level in my eyes.

That is radiohead's and Thom Yorke's best performance ever of that song. Their impact on alternative and rock fusion is so underrated but they are an amazing band that always capture their fans hearts. Love them

Outstanding song. The writing, the composition. The beat sits oddly on your eardrum but drives this song to an explosion of an ending. This is Radiohead at its best

I literally had tears when The band played this song at the Greek theatre in 2017. I turned to my wife (than gf) and I told her I’m gonna cry the entire time this song is playing and she understood and smiled at me and told me to “Let down and let go” best concert I ever been too

I listened to this one night with a band mate after a bit of drinking and smoking. When the song hits its crescendo we both started crying. To see someone as moved as me was a once in a lifetime moment. Let Down has a crystalline melancholy, hypnotic in its wonderment, beautiful in its decay.

The difficulty is that it’s so out of time with the rhythm (as written) that he has to fight getting pulled into the same beat as the rest of the band. It would be quite difficult. I’d almost want monitors in my ears that completely block the other instruments (probably not possible given how loud that stage is). So basically he probably has to just get in his own zone and really push out any of the rhythm from his head.
